Did you try leaning towards it? The frobable range for most objects is smaller than usual in this FM. You don't need any tools to open it, though.

Regarding the dummies...
I was disappointed that nothing was done with the dress dummy in one of the bedrooms. Seemed like an obvious setup for something.Agreed.

About the ending...
The business with the dolls appearing didn't fit into the narrative at all. You had the dead thieves running around, but the dolls implied another force at work. Yet nothing came of it. We just get the Happy Disney Ending when the last spirit is defeated and... nothing. I guess the Deceptive Perception series has me spoiled.I would say that this mission suffered from some sort of hybrid story, as if it was changed midway through. The child appeared to be some sort of major factor to the story, but ultimatly she was nothing more than another person who could see the ghosts. I'm guessing that at some point she had a much larger factor in the mission and backstory. Let's be honest, things randomly moving around and dolls appearing would be more considered the work of a child as apposed to a group of thieves.
Actually, come to think of it. Why would the thieves be hostile?

Because "angry ghosts freak out and/or injure the living" is a common trope? :D
Actually, that's why I was sure the ghosts killed the assistant at first. I assumed they were angry at him for not fulfilling the bargain, and after that they just stuck around the area in a generally-pissed-off-at-everyone state.

Thank you for the replay. I have tried leaning for about 10 minutes but without success. May be this is a small bug. It is really pity I can not finish this amazing mission.

Kaloian, email me your save game (ZIP it first) and I'll make it frobbable for you.
The ghosts are mad and are haunting the place because they were killed (unintentionally) by the coroner (and/or by the poison and not receiving the antidote). The assistant, who had made a deal with them, was supposed to give them the antidote before the autopsies began so they could escape the law, but he fell down the stairs and died, and so they all died from either the poison and/or being operated on while alive, or both.

There´s a better solution, somewhere in the mission readable write:
"game: Thief 2 TMA"
Sensut told me to do it this way, and it worked:thumb:
I´m loving this mission b.t.w. Impressive Mansion, never seen a mansion so detailed, so rich and so well worked like this one.;)
Thank you for sharing. I will try this later, too. Now I'm playing it with DarkLoader. It's a disturbing mission, in a good way.

This mission starts out great and scary but later on feels more like a key hunt where you are trapped inside a pretty cage waiting for it to finally end. Overall it's a wonderful mission but looses something near the end.

Has anyone noticed that you can crouch "through" the mansion entrance gates without opening them? I found this out by trying to see whats underneath the fog on the ground and went past the exit/entrance gates :D...don't ask me why i was doing what i did...
it woul really suck if an aware player were to crouch and slowly edge up on the gates and suddenly go through it without opening them...ruining one of the best moments in the fm :p
