I think I'm having the same problem. If you're talking about the stacked chairs, they were like that from the start for me. I've tried starting a new game several times to test this.

Same here - I just thought it was for spooky effect before I turned the lights on.

Wow, that was simply the most beautiful mission I've ever played. Please tell me this wasn't the last mission with those incredible victorian objects!!! I want one of those little violet lamps for myself! :)
And I'd need the locations for tarot cards 3 and 9, please...
Thank you so much for this mission!:thumb:

Really great mission!
I have to confess I almost expected as I opened the double door of the crypt to the cemetery from within (I opened it before I taunted the ghost) and let me get chased from the last ghost (it was the last one for me) that in the very moment I would arrive at the gates it would smashing close with a evil laughter sound just before my nose and outside the gates would stand this evil looking puppet... I was almost a little disappointed, this puppet really horrified me :)
Btw: I´m in need of the locations of the Tarot cards 6, 9 and 20. :(

Hmm...card 20 was the first card I found. I just can't remember where I found it. The Library, maybe?
On a related note, I've given up on finding the last cards, so if anyone wants to PM me the list of card locations, it'll be greatly appreciated.

Okay thats what I saw before and after turning the lights on. The stack never did anything special when the lights went on either. Bug maybe here as well, or I just don't get it. Whats really supposed to happen in the dining room when the lights go on the first time?

I don't want to derail this thread, but I'm hoping I can get some quick statistics:

The Rose Cottage fan mission plays fine in 1680x1050 with ddfix and widescreen patch BTW.

Rose Cottage runs smoothly on my system (winxp 32, c2d 2.4, radeon 3870 512mb, ddfix), TDM missions run more choppy than this.

I got this game to behave beautifully. To start try these two links. The key things for me were the exe patched version and ddfix 1.1.1.
What do people mean when they say this FM runs "fine" or "smooth?" What kind of frame rates? I'm getting 30 fps right at the start of the mission. If I'm in an enclosed space like a bedroom, I'm usually in the 60-100 range no problem, but plenty of the more open areas are down in the 30s again, or occasionally high 20s.
I am using (
http://timeslip.chorrol.com/ddfix.html) ddfix--has anyone noticed a performance difference with a manual install vs. the GUI version?
These problems weren't severe enough to keep me from enjoying this excellent FM, but if I can be assured that the problem lies with the Dark Engine and not my hardware, it would save me a headache and time otherwise spent tweaking.
Since the lowest frame rate (10-20) is when the Dark Engine gets angry at having too many objects in view (stand in fountain and look at the dining room), I'm
hoping that it's the engine, and my idea of "smooth" just doesn't match those of other people.

my garretloader (updated v.) doesn´t recognize this mission as being a t2 mission, what shall i do to play this mission without this problems?

First of all its an absolutely great mission. I am almost done but i have a small problem. I can not open the attic door even from inside. It is not frobable. I see a lock but it also do not highlight.
Any help will be strongly appreciated.

If you don't already have it in your inventory. Go back to the crematory, grab the crow bar, use the crow bar on the attic lock.
