Getting into the jeweller's room was quite tricky, but there was enough compensation for Garrett inside :cheeky:
I enjoyed this beautiful mission, exploring the city via rooftops was fun for me. I ended up with a loot amount of 2996, so I still missed something there :thumb:

You know it's a good mission when you want to replay it after just having finished it :)
Absolutely beautiful FM. I can't believe I missied it on release.
Interesting to explore and fun to ghost. It's amazing how interconnected everything is, even after exploring the map fully it's easy to get lost :)
Missed around 70 loot, will try to find everything on my second try.
By the way, I was very surprised that if you bump into guards from behind, they alert. Never seen this before. Also, if the guards bump into you, they alert. So there is no such thing as a perfect shadow in this mission. Definitely adds extra challenge.

such a great mission!
I loved following the cathedral rabbit hole to see just how far it went! I ended up getting some story bits out of order, but it all worked out in the end :thumb:

Just got round to playing this, those are some sweet rooftops :thumb:, 2871 loot, little over 4 hours, on expert
Think I may go back in & see if I can find these easter eggs
Thank you for this, excellent job :thumb:

What an incredible mission!
This mission succeeds where so many fail. Pretty much every room is accessible by multiple ways. No need to get through 5 guards to get a mission objective in the dead end. In "A job well done" you can enter the mansion from one angle, clear until you it feel safe and then enter through another angle and clear on. It allows you to be "smart and careful" and encounter little to no guards or be "fast and deadly" and knockout many guards. All this under single difficulty setting, no need for multiple difficulty settings and different number of guards, just excellent level design. Not to mention trail of blood and loot.
While it earned a spot among my favorite missions I do wish it would be a bit more detailed at times. More rooms, more objects everywhere. It's around 4 hours of gametime for careful playthrough but with this one I wouldn't mind 8 hours. (Don't let the complaints dissuade you, this is just some constructive criticism ment for R Soul as now, I really want to see more from him.)
R Soul, really, A job well done!

Hi guys !
First of all, this mission is really good so far.
Now I'm afraid I won't be able to finish it, because :
I'm stuck at the metal door which can be opened with the Theieves Key. I opened it with the key I stole at the pub, but once opened, I still can go through, there is a kind of invisible wall.
Did I miss something ?
Is it a known issue ? Playing with NewDark 1.26 …
Thanks !

You need to have completed one of the other objectives before you can go through there*:
You need proof about the values of the necklace and the sceptre.
There should have been a comment from Garrett when you tried to go in there.
If you have done that objective, you should no longer be blocked, and it's a bug. In that case upload the savegame (make a quicksave and find Thief2\saves\quick.sav) and I'll tweak things so you can continue.
*In a way there are two objectives you should complete, the second being to have taken the necklace so you can perform the swap.

Thank you for your answer ! Just finished the mission. It took me approx. 6-7 hours, as I took time to play it in ghost mode, and to sneak around.
Clearly one of my all time favourite, it was wonderful ! So much freedom and creativity, a few tricky jumps, loads of possibilities.
The only con I would talk about is the fact I needed to check this topic twice to finish it. First about what I asked you before, second for
the proof. Didn’t see the key and the desk’to be opened, even though I came 3-4 times though this room ! Thank you so much for your creation, it was really fun :)

I just finished this FM. Usually I don´t like it when you can use the streets & the rooftops at the same time cause it get´s really confusing, but here it was perfectly done. The map is well done too especially the auto-map which is an absolute necessity in a town/rooftop mission.
My personal favourite here were the thieves, that lost some tiny pieces of their loots so you could follow them to their hideout :cheeky:
Really great! :)
