probably there was no need to fix any bugs, instead im must have added new objects and change other things, anyway this one will have to be udated with newdark.

It's funny how difficult frustrating missions lead to more bickering in the forums. Well, not funny, but I think there is a connection there.
There is no doubt, Mission 2 is challenging. But after being righteously pissed off at the difficulty, I finally realized I was playing Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb (an action game), but with better graphics and atmosphere. So, I calmed down and took it for what it is, an action game. There's no rule that says you can't make an FM that's like Tomb Raider, is there?
But, cardia, I do have to say that the techno music in Mission 3 was way too loud. I didn't want to delete the files for fear of missing the clues that were supposed to lead me to the right places to go... but they didn't. I heard the music from places I didn't need to go, and there was no music in the apothecary shop, where I did need to go.
I read what you said about wanting to set the atmosphere for us the way you feel it. Night time in a club district, drinks and dancing and general merriment. I get it. But since it's not a simulation mission, it was just way too loud. It's a question of volume. I kind of feel bad for your neighbors, if that's the volume you're comfortable with. Sorry, mate. You need to turn it down. Honestly.
But to end on a positive note, you are a master FM creator and excellent designer. I aspire to your architecture and textures. And I think I want to take that purple haunt-creature in the room with the broadhead puzzles home with me. Purr!!! So, good job! ;)

Thanks Margotbean, as for the jumping challenge lets say i did it during a time i was playing alot Prince of Persia, so i got influenced by it, but you could also say Tomb Raider has some influence in some of my missions. As for Indiana Jones i never played, and i din´t know there was a Indiana Jones game...know i got curious. but if you play on a easier difficult mode, there is a way to bypass those jumps.
As for the Deep house music, its something that i heard for the first time while playing some of the Thief missions, and i felt that the sounds connect well with the nocturne atmospheres as well as the medieval style buildings. It does not remind me night clubs, simply because i´m not a man of the night, i never go to clubs, discotheques or bars, i´m a Nerd so to say, but yes i love electronic music. Lol, yes listening that music loud with open windows is a lack of respect for the neighbors. Anyway on the 3th mission players are able to turn off the musics by frobing its victrola which will switch to a thief 1 ambient music. also these music are a way for players to identify available locations to loot.

Hello Pedro I started this on Hard and the door that is supposed to open after the female's speech is over will not open? I started twice with no luck? I will try again on another difficulty and see if it works. I am using FM selector and my Thief 2 is 1.22:confused:
Edit: I tried all of the difficulty settings with same results the door remained closed? I then tried DarkLoader and it worked fine??

Strange pwl, it works for me using darkloader, garrettloader, do you have NVscripts?
check the mission zip file, they include scripts taht you can place within your thief 2 directory

Pedro I have all of the scripts and I only had trouble trying to use FMSelect, DarkLoader works fine which is very weird because I usually use FMselect? P.S. My Thief2 is upgraded to 1.22 I will try to clean up my install tonight and will report back.:confused:

so it means that the glass opened with Darkloader and not with fm selector?

Yes that is correct? I tried on all of the difficulties but it would not open. I left the room for ten or fifteen minutes and I was still trapped? Then I tried it with DarkLoader and it worked the first time.

Then Fmselector has some problems regarding scripts installation :p
This is why i use darkloader, its the less problematic fms installer
Don´t forget to disable any EP patch while playing this mission
