Hi.
I have a 64 MB ATI Radeon video card, and unfortunately it does not support fog effects in Thief 2. My specs are:
Pentium 3, 1ghz
512 MB ram
Win XP Pro SP2
\Now, I looked in the FAQ for a solution, and downloaded the Rage3d patch as indicated. Unfortunately, I get an error message saying "ATI CCC not installed". Is there any other way to solve this problem? Thank you.

I could be wrong but the CCC sounds like the Catalyst Control Center. Which should be available for download from ATI. Try searching for your card in the Drivers section.

I would also recommend ATI Tray Tools, works even on new OS's with newer ATI cards, and without Catalyst Control Center which is a huge resource hog. Unfortunately on my card (an HD4550) ATI seems to have broken the fog support in hardware, since software tweaks don't do it anymore. Oh well
EDIT: actually, on reading other threads, it's probably cause I'm using ddfix. Well, ddfix > Thief 2 fog...

Cool, thanks. I'll try that. I updated my drivers, but still got the same error message. When I tried installing this catalyst suite, it told me that no ATI drivers were installed (?!) which is impossible.
Thanks

Well so much for that. ATI tray tools makes my pc crash everytime I click on it.

Are you sure you have the official ATI drivers installed?
Right click on My Computer -> Manage -> Device Manager (in left pane) -> Display Adapters -> Right click on your card -> Properties -> Driver tab.
Is the provider "ATI Technologies"? What version do you have?

Thats quite an old driver(Catalyst 4), may I suggest trying Cat 7 - dont go any higher as 8/9 are aimed at more contemporary cards.
