It's been a long time since I played it, but
I don't think that picture is in the Guest Annex. Look at your map. You want to be in the Guest Annex, on the 3rd floor.I found it. I was concentrating on
being on the third floor, not being in the Guest Annex section. The smaller stairwell used to get there I rarely accessed. Coming from a different direction, like the one pictured, with its many twists and turns, I got confused spatially. Either way, it's a very good secret in that it is easy to walk by on your way to someplace else.
Thanks Tanner. I'm at peace now.

Glad you found it. And glad my memory isn't completely shot yet.

@ Eternauta
Did you use sounds and ambient musics from Half-Life?

Exactly what was I thinking. Right now I am listening the Half-Life 2 OST and I found some tracks familiar ;)
Nice mission by the way. I really got in it and plan to play it again... and again :D

In Mission 1 there's a sleeping guard who highlights and is called Richard. He makes the lock picks click but nothing else seems to interact with him. What does he need?

I've now moved onto The Ritual on Expert. I have all 3 relics but do not know how to break the curse or get behind the barred gate in the secret study. BTW this mission is in the ToC for Ricebug's walkthroughs for 2010 but there is no walkthrough for it in the zip.
OK, just realised I haven't yet been in Brother Jonas's room.

Unfortunately I´m facing a bug here. No idea why I always only have bugs in Eternauta´s awesome FMs :(
The bug is the objective of finding Information about why Iangus was tortured to death. I know that it should tick off when I read the paper in Brother Clark´s cell (the one hidden behind the brick). The bug is: I read it, but the objective doesn´t tick off :/ The readable in german only has 1 page to read btw, not 2 like in the english version.
I´m playing with Thief 1.27c. The FM is in german. And I use FMselector.
Can anyone help me?

Edit: All right, for me the objective completed when I opened the chest in Iangus room. I have no idea why the objective ticks off differently for me but oh well *shruggs*

Uuurgh... I loved everything about this campaign... until the end :( the end was so sudden and open, that I was sitting here for 3 minutes, starring at the screen, asking myself "that was it? that´s just it?!" What about Tommy?! I mean of course it´s pretty obvious that he´s dead since Ingrid said he joined her and the other children but I wanted to at least get a talk with him... and the endings were so bad.. you can choose between the hole that leads you outside or the door that leads you to the children without anything being explained. My guess is that if you stay there with the children you are dead (since you really did join them) and if you go outside you choose to leave everything behind and continue your life, which is very garrett-like I guess. But it left me open with the feeling that sth. big is missing and that is not good for a story-telling imo. And what about Robert? Will they really kill him? What about Mareen? What´s going to happen to her? Will she ever find out the truth about her daughter? Uuurgh.. :(
I loved to play these 4 missions. They kept me excited for days. I didn´t find the mansions complex at all as many here are stating. I loved how gigantic and open-world like they were. I also didn´t find the characters and readings difficult to understand and to connect everything. I was so interested in them that I could easily figure out what was really going on way before the ending. The only surprising thing was that robert was a psycho and actually burned the orphanage down with everyone inside.
It being done so perfectly made me even more disappointed about this open end.
Your missions are one of my favourites Eternauta (especially the last lighthouse keeper!) but this end was badly chosen:erg: I don´t even know how to rate it or if I´ll ever replay it again. I´m still sitting here wondering if that really was it or if there really wasn´t anything super big that I just missed :'D
