deathshadow - Did you get the loose stone out of the wall in the cell with the bucket & read the scroll from there? You should then find a key in that bucket.
If that doesn't check off the objective, then it wouldn't be the first time apparently.

Odd that, I got the
key from the bucket, but I don't remember any
loose stone or scroll nor can I find one.
Not that it matters, I said "screw it" and moved on with the four-finger salute... finished the rest without any problems.
@Eternauta -- Really gotta say thanks for this one, it was really enjoyable even with the one hangup and goes on my list of "this is what I mean by better than many commercial games". Hell, it was LONGER than most of what's been released lately. (single player in CoD comes to mind)

Don't want to search through spoilers so can someone give me a hint please?
In Mission 1 in Father Joe's room I see the combo lock and the little rotary lever opens the picture to reveal what is possibly a wall safe. I'm guessing the right combo opens that wall safe. Nothing else to go on. Two unpickable doors. There is a time and date in a book which is hardly a clue but I tried some of those numbers without success.
So my question is, is the answer within these rooms or should I leave it for now and maybe find the answer elsewhere? Hint please unless it is so obscure I'll never guess it (like the music is Opus 1234 or something) in which case just spoil me.
I've been blocked by a lot of locked doors so far so may have missed something elsewhere.

Fidcal - search within these rooms.
Hint 2 - The desk.

OK, thanks, PG, I'll continue with hint1 and come back for hint 2 if I need to. I don't mind searching so long as I'm confident there's something where I'm looking. :) Wish I had my trusty lantern though.

OK, got that eventually but I bet that was not very popular! But now I have a key that does not seem to fit.
The key is the closed annex key which is marked on the map next to the church and there is a locked door just where the annex shows on the map. But this key does not work on that door. There are two clear glass windows but I can't break them with my sword. I'll assume that the key fits another door to the annex from the other side so I'll circle around.
BTW the upside down map is driving me crazy. :tsktsk: Even though I know, I cannot remember each time. It's like trying to read a book from right to left. I'm now trying to visualize it as normal and pretend the pointer on the compass points south. :cheeky:

BTW you can climb out of the game area quite easily there in the church forecourt if you mantle onto the open door and over the wall.

Having found all I could in Father Joe's I've been trying but failed to find a way in to the annex. Found another locked door, grey with large ornate silver hinges that might be the annex but again the key does not fit. I now realize the Father Joe info objective never checked so does that mean I missed something in his rooms? Or need I be concerned.
Likewise I went to the guards dorm and a new objective to explore the dungeons which I did but the objective did not check off. I found a brother ignatus and clark but so?... Also two levers in the cell control room which I couldn't see did anything. Does it matter or can I continue searching the mansion.

OK, thanks. I suspect now I've reached the final room where I should get mission complete (it UNchecks when I go out again) but I have some objectives not checked. One is loot. I'll go round again to do that. The others:
Father Joe info. Probably even though I now have the scripts I'm past the point where it will check off. The other is find info about Lelder. I've read lots about him so it may be that I already have read it. How can I tell?
