CheeseshireCat - you need the 'Exit Key' for at least one of those; sorry, but I don't remember where that is. But have you checked torch-holders in the Closed Annex?

past the door S from the kitchen, with a door in a room with two benches and walls covered by blue cloth, and another at the top of remains of a stariwell, right? Where are those holders in there?

Ok, there are two ways to get into the closed annex but you have to go into the upper entry first. Go back into the main part of the mansion and go up to the second floor. Near the rooms with a sleeping noble on a sofa (not too far from the library), there is a short hallway with a sort of gold-colored door at the end. That is the entrance to the closed annex that you need to enter.

CheeseshireCat - you need to reach that locked door (above the broken staircase) from the other side, not below it (getting down there's one way to end the mission.)
On the 2nd floor, look for a sleeping man on a couch in front of a fireplace (at the east end of a fairly large room), go east from there & unlock the door with the Closed Annex key. At the far eastern end of those rooms, look for a torch-holder. In what that opens I think you'll then be able to complete the diary objective, but I'm not sure if you get the Exit Key there as well....
Edit: Oops! Tannar's a quicker typer than me.

Thanks. That door at L1 totally threw me off -- with the huge place and some keyhunt, I forgot about the locked door on L2... While I didn't have much navigation troubles, as some folks already said, a better map would have been really useful. Or at least a map that doesn't have *wrong* info on it (middle garden's E exit doesn't lead where the map shows, for example).

Eternauta:
your FM series is nothing short of excellence !!! The architecture is great (e.g. high ceiling place with beautifull windows and statues with secret on the top ). The layout of place is great, textures perfectly fit, lightning is perfect, i feel like in a real house. The story is great - a lot of readables, a lot of involved persons).
In the second part there I feel like in real factory. You really got it perfectly and made something like HL2 feel (Nova Prospect). I really have the same feeling in your level.
Use of the music and ambient sound is perfect: small details that improve atmosphere a lot.
Awesome !!! You are great FM author like Purah, Eshaaktar and many others. THANKS !!!!!!!! :thumb:
However I've got some problem: some objectives don't mark (some getting information in the first part; discover Father Joes ... and read The Correspondence... in the third part). I repeatedly reassured that I did what is needed (e.g. read the book on the table in secret library place in the first part) but without result.
One of my friend reported the same problem.
All other FMs I can play absolutly without any problem. I have all needed osm/scripts and other files.
Can you help me please ?

All my objectives are completed but I don't have the exit key - where is it? I have searched high and low so it's probably somewhere in plain sight.

The exit key is in the attic in the Closed Annex.
