I can't promise how soon, but I will get English subtitles done at some point and will release them, which will enable others to translate them into other languages.

Really enjoyed this very innovative 'dethiefed' campaign and hope to see future installments now that the genre is established.
One slight issue with an objective naming the wrong character, I believe:
'Make sure Vivian pays for murdering Nick, and everything else.'
Shouldn't it be Laura or Treadwell?
Yandros on 2/6/2016 at 15:00
:o Yes, it should be Treadwell. I can't believe Tannar and I let that get through! Thanks for catching it. I'll update the goal text at some point soon when I release the subtitles.

still cant find easter egg any tips i though it was something with the guy standing on dock i waited a long time and heard a bunch of horns but nothing, any tips?

@downwinder: Nowhere in that vicinity. Look a lot closer to home, but not at home. You'll know when you're close, but it may still take some time to figure it out.
I've been working on the subtitles today and they're coming along well - I have the conversations done already for nights 1 and 2. I still need to do the voiceovers and movies once night 3's conversations are done, but if I can get these tested this weekend I may have them released in a matter of days.

I kept waiting for SlyFoxx to speak up since it was his character getting erroneously offed.
Also, if you really want to stay true to the era,
ditch the plastic garbage bags.

"Damn you, Marlowe! Damn you to hell!"
It's been a while since we had some baby blues and gams around here...
Great execution of a classic theme.

I have had some trouble with the .7z archive. This seems to be caused by a file whose file name includes foreign characters, forcing Windows as well as programs to use Unicode. The file is obj\txt16\kukkap?yt?.GIF (a texture for a book from a bookshelf, I think); the question marks stand for the foreign characters here.
If I try to play the mission by using the .7z archive, I first get an error message saying 'Failed to move the FM directory from the temp extraction location to the FM path: "FMs\.fmsel.cache\Racket_v1-0" -> "FMs\Racket_v1-0"'. No matter what button I click on then, I get another message window a short time later, saying 'Failed to move install dir to final location, install aborted.'
Looking into the directory FMs\.fmsel.cache\Racket_v1-0 afterwards shows that the file mentioned above is still present. Sometimes, every file is left over, while on other occasions, it's only the one with the foreign characters in the file name. Btw, I have seen such leftovers also with another mission which includes file names with foreign characters.
Unpacking the .7z archive with 7zip in Windows 7 yields the file with characters from what looks like the russian or greek alphabet. Depending on what operating system and version of 7zip I use, I may also get several error messages while extracting the .7z archive. My problems here might also be enlarged because I use an ancient FAT32 file system for the partition used for data storage and playing; with NTFS, everything might be different again.
On the other hand, unzipping the .zip archive puts some german or scandinavian letters in the file name. The latter ones are part of the ASCII charset, thus no Unicode is required. Apparently, that's why the .zip archive does not cause such problems.
I think this may be the reason for some people having weird problems with the .7z archive. I'd recommend looking into this issue before publishing the upcoming version with subtitles. Until then, we can all use the zip archive for playing.
Btw, I have not played very much of the first mission, but I am already impressed how well the atmosphere is. It really reminds me of these old movies a lot. Nice work!:thumb:

Thanks for the in-depth analysis, baeuchlein! We can change that file name in the update. It's not a book, btw, it's part of a table. But expect it to be fixed in the update.
Thanks ValmontPhl and caqo, glad you enjoyed it.
