I'm in the same place as nil8hate and can't get out of the cathedral. Could someone please post where the button/lever is for the [SPOILER]bridge.[/SPOILER] I have everything I need from the cathedral except for getting out. :confused:

[SPOILER]I missed this button so many time! Look on the large column left of the altar (where you went down to the crypts)! It's just a small button low down on the column. This lowers a bridge that you can cross to the front doubledoors and exit the church.[/SPOILER] :idea:

Thank you for this fine mission. Very challenging. Has many aspects of Thief I like. Especially the roof top challenges. I got into this thing so much, I was so glad I saw regular non-dead characters around. Even if them guards tried their best to perforate me. I think your architecture is perfect in this scenario you created. To fancy a design I think would have taken away from an atmosphere and story line of an abandoned, neglected town over-run by these spooky critters.
I thankyou again for this fun and challenging contribution to the thief community.

OK, i'm a little lost. I'm in the streets area (bronze lock at one end, mages at the other) And it looks like i'm supposed to be able to take to the rooftops to continue. BUT... i cannot find a way of climbing up there. I've done everything else i can find to do in this area, and cannot find a way out. Help.

I will say this: retrace your steps on how you got there. You missed a window and a jump. You had to climb to get to the northside where you are right? Then go back upstairs in the building you decended in. You missed a way to another building that will let you jump to where you want to go.

Howdy! Stuck on Expert...
[SPOILER]I'm in the cathedral, in the worship area where you land upon falling in (three haunts, one skull-flinging ghost). I used flash bombs and my single vial of holy water to take care of the baddies. Doused the flames on either side of the altar. Found the button in the pillar, which according to this thread opens some sort of bridge above.
I also so the smudge of green outside on the lip of where the zombie is perched, and roped up to get the Old City loot.
Now I'm stuck - I can't get the Horn and I can't get out. I spotted the unlit torch (I was looking for other light sources to douse before deciding to take out the baddies) and I saw some wood WAY up there, but a rope arrow doesn't dangle nearly low enough for it to be of use. I can stand on the altar and run/jump to one of the shelves where the flame burnt, but I get stuck in the texture then fall off.
Since no one else has had this trouble, I assume I'm missing something big :) I have a save before going into the Cathedral, so if I did something out of order, that can be fixed. Outside of the cathedral, I cleared the buildings/graveyard on the street where you begin, found the key to the power house, roped up, leapt over to the eldge where the gold nugget is hidden, traversed the ledge all the way around, then leapt back to the power house and roped back down, thinking I'd take care of the other side after finding the items in the Cathedral since the gear box was over there.
Do I need to find a way to the other side first?[/SPOILER]

Inside the cathedral you will see three "catwalks" one upper and two lower.
[SPOILER] On one of the lower catwalks there is a piece of wood sticking out. Rope up to that one first. [/SPOILER]
Once you do this you will know what to do next.

cannot find a way onto the [SPOILER]roof to get the key to bay 2. i have been all around the catwalk outside....and nothing...been in all the bays i could unlock. a good strong hint....SPOILER would be good (i have a key called "roof key"[/SPOILER]
