Since you are in Texas too do you know where the name "Maggie May" came from? I don't know it's exact origin but I borrowed it from
a lave band bar on 6th street in Austin.
I haven't been there in at least 10 years so I don't know if it is still there.

I don't think you or anyone else here is "brain dead." Sometimes the most simple things are often overlooked because we are looking for a complicated solution. I wouldn't want to turn out the lights in a crypt anyway. :joke:

Since I am a transplanted California Girl, I'm not too well-versed in Texas stuff other than y'all, barbqued beef brisket and country music . Still in the lava pit but am getting a little farther along.

I'm sorry I made the lava pit so hard. I was actually inspired by the alien world in Half-Life, which is even harder. :ebil:
Welcome to Texas. btw not everyone here is the country type :) even though I like the Eagles and some country music.
Anyway, back to the FM... All I can say is that the lava pit is the worst of it. The rest will be downhill.

Finished the lava pit. Don't apologize for ANYTHING with this fm. If fm's were a piece of cake, they would be boring. Actually, jumping around on those platforms was quite fun using arrow keys in midflight. It was the mages that kept interrupting my progress, but, once I got across the pit it was easy to dispatch them and begin platform hopping.
Looking forward to your next fm.

I'm working on my next FM which should be out this summer. It will be a castle from Wales. It was kinda hard to chose one because there are only about a million castles over there. :p Unfortunately Charlotte Church won't be in my next FM.

Great FM john9818a :thumb: Just "finished" it, apart from a few hundred loot that I got tired of searching for:confused:
Personally I dont much care for undead missions, and in fact had shelved this mission when it first came out as it appeared to be crawling with the blighters:D But having nothing much to do a couple of evenings ago decided to give it another go, and boy am I glad that I did. Great puzzles, hidden buttons/areas, classic Thief moments like rooftop climbing, good story/plot...etc..etc all went to make a thoroughly enoyable Thief experience.
Please accept my thanks and appreciation for all your hard work in making this FM for us :thumb: :thumb:
I look forward to your next mission. You say its going to be set in Wales? That is sooo cool! Which castle are you going to base it on? We have a great castle here in Cardiff I could send you some pictures if you like, just let me know ok? How come you Know about Wales and its castles john9818a, do you have relatives from here?
The very best of luck with the medical checks mate:thumb: :thumb:

Greetings fellow taffers. I have spent a couple hours on this mission and have only been able to explore the two streets. I have found a couple secrets ok but now I have not progressed at all. I have entered the cathedral only to fall all the way to the bottom and am
unable to get the horn without dying.
I then have to reload the game and avoid entering the cathedral. I have tried manteling up the wooden post with a rope arrow which overhangs above
the hermit hole
but that has not worked. I have also tried jumping a hundred times from the second floor ledge to the open windows in the building with the wizard's oblelisk but I can't do that either. :erg: I need help please......................!
When you enter the cathedral and fall to the bottom, you will notice a ledge on the way down. The ledge has a zombie and some loot. After you fall down climb up to the small step with the mushroom and then shoot a rope arrow into the grass hanging on the left side of the ledge. You can get the loot without climbing off of the rope, so just climb up and get the loot. Get your rope arrow back and then go back down again. The double doors ahead leads into the cathedral.

After you complete the cathedral area and have reached the wood beam over the hermit's hole, find another way into the next street. You aren't supposed to climb up onto the wood beam. I made sure of it. :ebil:

To jump from the second floor ledge to the wizard building, you need to run and jump straight across, making sure you take the shortest path.
I hope this helps.
