Turns off the spotlights illuminating the clock if I recall correctly.

Thanks again. Fantastic mission nicked, truly top tier this! I cannot imagine how much work is behind all those randomized variables and different ending messages. That must be so complicated to keep track of. The only complaint I have is that the bonus idol objective didn't provide any loot. It almost didn't seem worth it to me to go through the trouble of getting all those cards, making the keys and entering the vault only for a bonus objective. Even if the idol was only worth 1 gold it would've been fine. But zero? :rolleyes:
Raymond's dungeon also didn't have loot, which was a bit disappointing. I feel like in order to get all the loot one should have to visit all locations. But that's just me. Nothing against the mission, just nitpicking.
The only mistake I found was the door on the ground floor from the winter garden to the hallway outside the theatre disappeared multiple times on me. Also, the guards switching weapons during a normal patrol was odd, but the info file already touched on that.

Wow, what a mission!
The atmosphere was amazing, I got immersed enough to actually get goosebumps at certain parts. I was immersed enough to worry that the mission would go Gaetane's The Den style horror after collecting the idol.
Doing the detective work of deduction was fun as well, very rewarding to come up with the correct answer.
I really enjoyed the security setup as well, and how to work around it.
The secrets were also very inspired by t2, in that they were based on navigating to holes in the map, rather than the thief gold type of rabbit holing deep into danger. (I like both obviously, damn this fm is inspiring! What a treasure), you nailed the t2 style in many ways.
I also feel like the shutting down of up to half of security cameras was a bit t2-esque, in thief gold you always have enough resources to neutralize everything (except for the maw I guess), but in t2 you had to make choices. Appreciated that you could turn off the cameras after the heist to start focusing on collecting alibi's and cards, basically turning the mission into a completely different thing, precisely when it was meant to. The card location books meant that I didn't have to ctrl+f scour the ttlg thread as much either, very good way to mitigate frustration
Sorry for the spoiler-tag heavy post, just such a damn inspiring fm.
And it is replayable as well!!!
Fantastic mission, one of my favs, thank you for it.

Wow, this mission was brilliant. A truly gigantic mansion with beautiful environments and clever setups, I loved charting this one out. I've had a few notepads set to keep track of some secrets and of course, the mystery. It was really fun figuring it out and I felt delighted when I got it right. I got somewhat worn out and gave up on getting all the cards once I had already visited every room I could find but it was still fun always being on the lookout for them. The intricacy of the mansion means that you can get from one place to another quite easily once you've figured the layout out, which was very nice as it could have been a bit of a bother going around otherwise since the place is super huge. I greatly enjoyed this, thanks for the delightful mission Nicked!

I've searched extensively in the Library, but cannot find it. Is the locations of the books random?

Those books are not randomised. The book of diamonds is on a bookshelf, next to a window, lower floor, south west.

Just finished this. Correctly identified the killer but didn't bother with all the cards. Called it quits after 4.5h. What a mission! I didn't even know Thief 2 was capable of a lot of the stuff in here (selectable mission entry point, random guard patrol patterns, the whole randomized killer thingy) Awesome job, nicked! :thumb:

I just had to come say how much i love this mission. As a fan of murder mysteries, this mission hits like no other. It's probably my favorite mission of the 80 or so i've played.

Completed v1.1. with the German voice pack and translations. Excellent mission! I had to tear myself away from the computer sometimes and always looked forward to continuing my playthrough. I will replay the mission since there seems to be a lot of content I have yet to discover.
Stats:
* Normal difficulty
* 2 hours and 44 minutes
* 0 hints needed
* 3869 of 5011 total loot found
* 1 bonus objective completed
* 0 of 11 secrets found
* 1 of 13 pages of Gregor's revelations found
* 18 of 52 cards found
* Correctly identified the murderer
Elements I liked:
* Gigantic mansion with varied rooms and lots of details.
* Intriguing murder mystery.
* Wonderful feeling of getting somewhat lost in the building at the beginning.
* Fully functional automap with rooms highlighted that you already visited.
* Lots of things to find and notes to take.
* Impeccable ambient sound placement.
* Guards switching weapons is a great innovation. They also look pretty cool when they carry the sword on their back.
* Some nice references to original missions and fan missions (e.g. Lady Valerius, St. Yora).
* I laughed hard when I saw the repurposed powerdrill in Raymond's sex dungeon.
Could be improved:
* When the lights are switched off, NPCs might complain about the quality of the torches.
* There are a few of rooms so cramped you have to close doors if you want to move around inside of them.
* The automap does not mark all rooms as visited, even after you have been there.
* The huge amount of optional content with alternative murder scenarios, secret areas, and hidden cards feels overwhelming. Even having invested more than 3 hours into my playthrough, completing the mission with the murderer correctly identified, I still did not get the feeling of satisfaction I normally get when I complete a mission.
