No worries, a very small kink in an otherwise impeccable mission.
Finished in just under 6 hours (!) missing around 500 loot and according to the stats I found 75 playing cards - I assume this is because i dropped all I had at one point to clear my inventory a bit before I understood what to do with them.
Really impressed with your dromed skills Nicked, would be awesome to see some masterclass videos from pros like yourself.

Keeper Argusson is right, there is a switch hidden under the desk of Duncan. It can only be seen from a special angle; you have to crouch near the lamp which stands to the left of the desk and then look at the desk to see something grey. It does light up if the player approaches it, but I could not press or otherwise use it.
Only DromEd shows that it is some kind of switch. It is connected via "links" to a "Require All Trap" and the lamp. I think it is part of the mechanism that allows the player to "use" the lamp, and by doing that, the lamp can be switched on and off.

I just replayed this awesome mission and this time needed 4,5 hours for it. I guessed the murderer correct (in my playthrough it was the daugther in law that killed him with a knitting needle). I found all except for 50 loot and for two secrets I needed the lootlist :thumb:
It´s just a pity that you can´t frame a family member for the murder, cause if I could do that I´d pinned it on raymond, that bastard! :D

Awesome mission, just awesome. I really loved it...even the cards hunt :)

Ok, I loved this mission. Great job on it!! Very unique, while hitting all the old feelings for the original game. At first I was a bit. . .put out. . .that we had to apparently solve a mystery. I'll admit, while I LOVE mysteries and occasionally can guess 'who dun it', in the end, I'm not the greatest at putting the clues together. Yes, when watching/reading them, I USUALLY have to just enjoy the story and let them tell me in the end who was the guilty party. However, this was reasonably easy - not overly convoluted. Thank you! That was actually fun, not terribly frustrating. I just worked my way up through the mansion and by the time I hit the top, I more or less had a good idea who did it. (Not 100% sure I'm right, since I'm slightly stuck :P But we'll see.) The other puzzles were challenging, but not brain-breaking, which - again, is appreciated. The cards - on the other hand. . .I have a feeling I'm going to hate if I decide to go after them. . .Not sure yet. lol I have a lot. No idea what I'm missing, though.
I am sad we cannot frame family, though. I really detested most of the people in this place and the family was the worst of the lot. I feel sorry for the servants - I didn't get the impression they were in on much so didn't really want to frame them. But some of the family - I REALLY wanted to.
My one issue is. . .are we supposed to collect the sack of loot BEFORE we start collecting loot for ourselves? I had over 4k in loot - finished the mansion (yeah, probably missing a fair bit, but it's late and I have hit the point I don't want to search for missed stuff) went back, got the sack, it took off the 1k and I went and framed someone - but my main loot objective UNticked. . .despite the fact I have MORE than 3k loot left. (3275, to be exact) I even went through to find something I'd missed to give it a bump . . .and. . .nothing. The objective is now permanently unticked and the mission won't end properly. o.O Is this a bug I can get around or do I have to just consider it done and try again in a replay?

Sounds like a bug, though not one that came up during testing. If you send me a save, I can have a look.

OK, you're actually 25 short of the loot goal in that save. The goal is 3300, not 3000, might be where the confusion has come from?
Elentari on 27/2/2022 at 04:48
Oh, for. . .crying out loud. Thank you for checking. *sigh* You know how many times I read and re-read that objective and I would SWEAR it said 3000 each time. Gah. I'm just going to chalk it up to one more 'weird' thing in an array of weirdnesses that have been happening to me lately.
Ok. Got the mission finished and it was great! Thank you for making the mysteries simple enough to solve. I got it right first try! Woot. I just wish we could frame family members. They really were horrible people.
