I too had a problem hearing the wind sounds, in the area where you have to do that to follow an invisible path across a void. So instead I took one of my most numerous food items, cheese, and dropped it in front of me. If it stayed on the invisible platform, I picked it up and moved forward a little, then repeated. If the cheese dropped into the void, I changed direction and tried again. It is slow but reliable. If cheese is an important part of your diet, you can save before each step.

I had thought of this way to solve the problem as well, but all that save/reload stuff was too much for me, especially since the machine I play on still has an old-style hard disk instead of a SSD, and the disk is slow even for a HDD, under some circumstances. So I developed another solution, like some others.

First off, nice work on the castle overall. Very nice looking, multiple floor designs are always fun. Big structures like this can feel very empty and awkward. So all the cozy areas you put in such as 1st floor fireplace with the curtain dividers - 1st floor side area with the paintings and sitting chairs near the garden - the fireplace with sitting area on 3rd near the lift - all the small areas with couches here and there - the two bars (I like the lighting a lot), etc really add nice atmosphere. Figuring out how to get from floor to floor was not overly cumbersome, although the HVAC "key" could have been a bit more obviously placed or made bigger / shinier to stand out a bit more. I missed it the first time because I had to replay that section and forgot the thing was leaning against the pillar. It is very thin, the bar is dark and can be easily missed.
I played on hard. A few complaints: 1) the guards on the outside & first 2 floors are ridiculously easy to sneak up on. I literally could run up behind them boots clacking on wood, stone, etc & knock them out easy. 2) Walking on the few roof areas is *floaty* and not like you are actually walking on solid surface. That causes you to slide / float all over even on the flat portions. 3) I know some of the monsters were supposed to be tough like the dark portal area, the dolls in the secret portal, etc. But my personal opinion is invincible mobs, & mobs on super steroids (zombies in the dark portal, & the dolls) are just frustrating, not fun, & not in the spirit of thief. I have no problem with them being tough but give us a fighting chance if we want to kill them for our own satisfaction. 4) the secret portal activation. I felt that the vault was a very important part of the mission. Maybe I am dumb, but I never figured out to use the doll on the brazier. It was not as obvious as it could have been to me. It kinda put a damper on the mission. I am ok with not getting some secrets, but that was a major plot point to me. 5) just an ambiance thing here: It seems the castle is a bit of a place for the locals to come drink, eat, & gawk at. But the place is soo clean. Maybe a few spilled glasses of wine, broken glass, a passed out drunken local, or pairs of shoes left around to give it a less sanitary feel. 6) There is a barrel that has no collision to it (can walk through it) down in the area where you enter the basement from the moat. I think it was near the first stairs up from the water entrance
Overall, I enjoyed it. I hope you continue to make such missions & make them even more unique.

Thank you. That is awful, as I don't remember where the entrance is........
Found it!!!!
Now, may I have an outright spoiler for the vault code?

The 2 texts for vault code are in the red (fire) room on 3rd floor and the 1st floor chapel. The numbers "41" and "57 or 75" are stated here which give you 4 options to try. The vault code ends up being 4157.

The darkness stone room has me a bit stumped. Which way in the maze do I go to find it?

Which way in the maze do I go to find it? From the entrance go straight until given the option to turn, then take right until you pass torture room, and turn left down the hall with the door that closes at the end. Take left (across from room with breathing face) and turn right when you reach the hall with ticking clock. The next part is a loop with a hall on the north side where you can visibly see the chest with stone from.
Overall, just head north using your compass through the passages and any turns to get there. The stone is in the northern most part of the maze and the portal is in the southern most part.

The note references the chandelier swaying back and forth in the ballroom so use rope arrows to get up there and find the switch on it.

Beautiful FM Vortex85!!! I absolutely loved it. The spacious a architecture was a welcome change and really well done. The texturing was excellent while the attention to detail was consistent and bang on the money. The storyline was just right too - a bit of head scratching required but not too much, so well done for balancing things so evenly. I hope you make more missions as you obviously have the gift ;)
Thank you to you and all your helping hands - your hard work is very much appreciated!! 10/10
