Here is the tip:
Look down from balcony on 5th floor or 3rd floor at the forest area near where you started and see if you can spot anything interesting on top of a rock surface out there.... once you see it, the trouble is getting there. So I'll give you the answer. Go to the wall of trees in the back there with the bug sounds, you will need rope arrow to get on top of them, look for a spot on top edge of those trees that looks like the texture is different from the rest (its using the woods texture instead vegetation texture) you will also see a kind of pointy jagged edge there as well where i had to dig into the tree with an air brush to make the surface.... here you can rope and mantle to get up there. (The other trees are vegetation texture which disable mantle so I had to make a special place to allow mantling to get up there.) Once you are on the trees you should be able to easily jump and mantle onto the rock with the secret.Also for the Jewelry bonus:
All 4 pieces are physically being worn by the children, not lying around. Whether on head, hand, or wrist. :D But this is not one of the 15 secrets...Finally, here are some secrets you may have missed for the last one?
-Look carefully at the center statue in the 3rd floor lobby area
-Check the west side of the castle and go around outside to the back until you find "benny was here."
-Did you find the secret in the sword room (small switch behind the table with the note about the stones on it?)If you found THOSE I'm not sure which one you missed.
Thanks a bunch! I had missed the
switch under the desk in the sword room (doh! shoulda found that one) and the
non-obvious one above the trees near the start. And, obviously,
my "searching" the bodies for jewelry was sub-optimal, as yet another quick glance at Karnas gave up his ring.
So 15/15 secrets, and *only* 160 short of full loot. But, man, many hours of roaming around looking for stuff.

I found all kids and took their loot, but I didn't get this objective.

Very strange, the goal is only dependent on object being picked up and nothing else. The AI can be knocked out, dead on normal/hard, doesn't matter. Is it possible you grabbed one and reloaded a save forgetting to grab it again? If you can PM me your save file, I can double check for you.

That's alright! I got through it, I had my ambient turned down, so, I cranked it up, that helped. I just had to slow down and pay attention which way to go. I've got the sword now. I do have one question. I need the vault key. I've read about the
the doll, dewdrop I'm to assume. I'll work on the code. How to use the doll? Is it inside dewdrop? Out right spoil me. Thanks.

No, it's not possible. I double checked, because maybe auto search didn't work. But no, they have no loot. But wait, you say it's only on normal/hard and I play on expert, so this must be a reason why this objective doesn't trigger. Unless one of them has no loot and that's why this objective doesn't work.
Edit: I replayed this mission and found out what's wrong. You must pick loot when kids are still conscious, if they are KO-ed grabbing their loot doesn't trigger this objective.

Finished on expert last night, 10449/12306, 7 out of 15 secrets. I found Benny's stash! He's been hanging around Garrett too long, he's being sneaksies.

I'm not sure about that. The objective is triggered based on a link when loot is frobbed to switches with control device once all 4 loot are picked up then all 4 switches are turned on with require all trap and objective is met. There is no dependency on them being conscious in that coding. Maybe a bug happened on first playthrough with auto search or somethings else went wrong.
Also the bonus is available on all difficulties
Unless …. Auto search doesn’t always “frob” the loot… like if Ai is unconscious?

that will be your problem: auto-search does not frob the loot; it just transfers it from being contained by the AI to being contained by the player. since the loot object will get a Contained message when the player picks it up, whether by frobbing or by auto-search, your mission should be triggering off that. since youre already using NVScript, you probably just need to replace StdButton on the loot items with (
