Thanks for the FM, Vortex!
The pictures you uploaded look great. Downloading the mission now. It's good that I will have a new one to play this holiday too.

I'm stuck, I've been everywhere in the castle. Where do I go to find the Stone of Air, Stone of Earth, Stone of Water, Stone of Light and the Sword of the Stones? So overwhelming to travel from floor to floor. The objectives I already completed are "Get 5,000 in loot." "Find the Stone of Fire." "Find the Stone of Darkness." I still have 5 more objectives to complete. I only completed 3 of them. The first one I should focus right now in order is finding the Stone of Air. Where should I go next to find it? P.S. I'm playing the mission on the "Hard" difficulty setting.

There is a secret door in Credulo's bedroom at the top of the castle to find the sword. In the sword room there is a papyrus stating the floor each stone is on and each stone has hints on location in the mission too. For earth and light check hints on second floor bedrooms to where they are. Check bedrooms on 4th floor for water. Air will be self-evident when you find the sword.

This guy from Germany did a fantastic video showing everything from beginning to end on how to complete this mission without getting stuck. It took me a little bit over 6 hours to complete, but I did take breaks in between haha! Best mansion/castle Thief 2 mission ever! It can be easy to get lost in there, with more than 3 floors to explore inside. No wonder you don't want to miss a single secret or hidden treasure. Thank you so much for making such a fantastic FM, I hope to see another one like this again in the future.:cheeky:

Earth stone. I killed all dolls, but I can't see the earth stone chest. where is it? The dolls are not he earth stone. That is the secret portal to get downwinder's key to the vault. The earth stone is in the 1st floor gallery. Check the walls for the way to find it there.Quote Posted by mcmike1489

Wow! Great mission. I have spent *hours* searching for all the secrets. Up to 13/15. I'm embarrassed to admit it took me so long to find the last drill bits -- I carelessly overlooked the details in the readable, and only found the one in the maintenance closet pretty late into my snuffling around.
So, I got the bonus objective, "You found all of the drill bits!". I dug through goals.str and found another bonus objective, "You have stolen jewelry from all 4 of Credulo's children!". I'm guessing at least one of the missing secrets is involved here. Of course, after hours bopping around the mansion, I don't remember what jewelry I found related to this -- I'm guessing the ring on the flat roof and the hidden nook high up in bedroom? Maybe the missing necklace under the bed (although I *think* that was a guest's?) Also, I believe the four children's bedrooms are all on the upper (fourth?) floor, below the "throne room" level. Not sure if the children are all the "named" bodies I KO'd in various places? I don't think I found anything on those bodies, and I have gone over those four bedrooms over and over again.
Anyway, if anyone has a hint, or a list of all the secrets, that would be great. And, if not, I'll revisit this later.
I don't think I've ever spent this much time on one mission! Fun, huge, and kept me coming back for more!
Nice holiday present, Vortex85! Thanks. :)

Since i don't know which ones you have it would be tough to tell you where to go except for 1 which is likely no one finds because there is no hint and its very obscure (sorry!).
Here is the tip:
Look down from balcony on 5th floor or 3rd floor at the forest area near where you started and see if you can spot anything interesting on top of a rock surface out there.... once you see it, the trouble is getting there. So I'll give you the answer. Go to the wall of trees in the back there with the bug sounds, you will need rope arrow to get on top of them, look for a spot on top edge of those trees that looks like the texture is different from the rest (its using the woods texture instead vegetation texture) you will also see a kind of pointy jagged edge there as well where i had to dig into the tree with an air brush to make the surface.... here you can rope and mantle to get up there. (The other trees are vegetation texture which disable mantle so I had to make a special place to allow mantling to get up there.) Once you are on the trees you should be able to easily jump and mantle onto the rock with the secret. Also for the Jewelry bonus:
All 4 pieces are physically being worn by the children, not lying around. Whether on head, hand, or wrist. :D But this is not one of the 15 secrets...Finally, here are some secrets you may have missed for the last one?
-Look carefully at the center statue in the 3rd floor lobby area
-Check the west side of the castle and go around outside to the back until you find "benny was here."
-Did you find the secret in the sword room (small switch behind the table with the note about the stones on it?)If you found THOSE I'm not sure which one you missed.

I didn't have a problem with the sound of the wind, I found if I listened carefully there were louder wind sounds when you stood in the middle of the pathways, then moving very slightly in each direction I could hear whether the wind sound level remained the same or got quieter, if if went quieter that was obviously not the direction to go. Yes I made a couple of errors and fell to my death but that was mainly due to moving too far before I was completely sure if that was the correct direction to go.
Interesting to know about the mechanical eye not working when the hanging arrow issue is present, didn't know that, but then again I can't remember the last time I used that equipment, but yes did know that you can't throw mines either, came across that in What lies Below.
PS. If there was an award for best use of Dewdrop in a fan mission this mission would get my vote. :cheeky:
As a person who is partially deaf, this is a challenge for me. I've had to crank up the volume on my headphones.

I apologize for this... I did assume most fans on this game would need to have good hearing for a game like Thief which relies a lot on sound for gameplay... but I will admit for many the sound was not perfect at all for this section (maybe to do with sound drivers or something?). Another option would be to find some food or item you can repeatedly drop / pick up, to check the ground in front of you and make your way through visually that way, or
go get some crates and stack them up on the side to bypass the puzzle altogether...! :cheeky:
