Thanks for the mission, intruder!
I had a lot of fun playing this. The cathedral itself was massive and the tomb section was also really lovely done!
It took me nearly two hours to finish this mission, barely above the loot limit and I still was missing around 500 in loot - so it seems to be really well hidden.
You unintentionally created a well-done arena. It makes a lot of fun to fight, hack and slash your way through the hordes of Hammerites and staff members. :ebil: Of course, staying unnoticed really is a challenge and should be Garrett´s style.
For other players I strongly recommend to leave at least one water arrow and a vial of holy water - you might need it. And there is no way to finish the mission without them!
Also technically I was able to access the tomb of Alarus without using the talismans - it was just possible to diagonally jump over the abyss to get one of the two key hammers

This is not correct. You are able to finish the mission without
any of these items because the goal you're referring to is optional (and only available on Expert too).

Can I have a hint on the location of
the Earth talisman?Okay, I did find it.
It's one level above the ground floor, not very far from the pool.thank you! now how do I get back to the top of the elements tower...

Travel back to the "tower" where you've found the fire talisman (the one floating in the lit brazier), i.e. the one right next to those suspended wooden boards that are attached to the ceiling above via chains. Then simply climb through the window of said tower to the other side and you'll find your path.

I knew the mission was going along fairly easily then I entered the catacombs. Pretty awesome so far!

Very good mission. I enjoyed the cathedral area with a tastefully redecorated Soulforge (if you hadn't said so I wouldn't have been able to tell it was Soulforge, and I just replayed it last week), but I'm grateful that the ghosting objective was optional because the Undercover-style situation is very finicky with not a lot of feedback from AIs and mysterious busts of the objective that I eventually gave up on trying to avoid. It's also always nice to see a nice tomb area that feels much larger than it physically is. I had a lot of trouble with the Expert loot objective but was just able to eke it out with 1763 in a little over two hours total.
I noticed that the catacombs Hammerite only seems to alert if he detects you in one of the stairways leading down to the catacombs; whenever I met him in the catacombs themselves he was friendly. I also think the map could just start you off in the cemetery without that whole minute long segment at the start, but at least you can just save after it's done. Thank you for the fun mission in any case!

Look for a sculptor's workshop near one of the side entrances of the cathedral.
Check its attic. The note says neither blade nor fire will damage
the heart; I tried
all four element arrows just in casewith no luck. How do I remove it?
Vennobennu on 6/2/2024 at 04:58
Hint:
The note does specify what would be needed to damage the heart.
Solution:
Holy Water Arrows will break it open.
Which reminds me - I greatly appreciate this mission's use of ambient sound, particularly for the above scenario and for the broken piles of machinery with their eerie noises emanating within.

thank you vennobennu; that was the first area I found, so I thought I needed to look for a holy icon (like the hammer in the priests' quarters) but that wasn't right.
this was an enjoyable mission, the catacombs were just large enough to be disorienting but not so large I felt hopelessly lost :thumb:
I agree about the intro; it went a bit long, and without real player agency it could have been told in the briefing. But exploring the cathedral was fun, even if it did turn into a loot hunt for me at the end
