I'm stuck on mission 3. I've spoken to Lord Barnham, and he said I need to go to a basement office, down some servant tunnels and behind a panel. I've been everywhere in the basement and found nothing like that. :(
Edit: Found it immediately after posting. :p

nicked, he opens the panel. When you get down there, the button is out in the open. It's in a small stone room with only a pillar in the middle, nothing else.

Great job R Soul! Game play just as tight as a snare drum! I whacked a few skulls but I left most of 'em standing.

Where are my money?:)
There's a note under
the wooden cabinet in the
room where you met the jeweller which tells you that. (Also note the spoiler tags)

That's a new one to me. I do hope at least one of them worked.
Both did. I saved before the door out of curiosity : )

That's an oven. You need to go to the top floor to find what you're looking for.
Yeah, I thought so because of the t gauge -- just the location was odd for the oven.
Edit: did you check the 5 gold loot in M1?

juat wanted to add my thanks for this totally awesome fm,I played it through last night whilst everyone was out and I was alone in the house;) so I could have a good thief session
Loved the Hammerite workers/novices working in the coal furnaces room, where the coal is on the moving escalators...I played it with a loud sound system (450Watts max) and my new 32" monitor....and it was just like being in the factory,:D and quite scary when the occasional Hammer guard walked around.
Then when the booming was going off in a later part where the walls in the mansion were being destroyed....it almost felt like my house was coming down, lol
Great ambient music too,I especially liked the short forest part...
Superb FM R Soul!...lovely attention to detail...congrats.

I'm still not done (playing in short stints every evening) but I have to say Mission 3 is one of the most impressive mansion missions I have ever played. The architecture, texturing, design, is all incredible, and the combination of the mysterious events in the mission and the ambience gives it a level of tension that I really feel in Thief missions these days. Absolutely stunning.
