Thanks R Soul, I have a question on level 2 now:
I am at the top of a staircase with a locked door. There is a note on the outside of this door about Lord Sarringham's chief guard being here. The main guest room is behind this locked door but I can't find the key to open it. Where is the key?
R Soul on 29/1/2012 at 00:03
The key is being carried by the guard who patrols the stairs.
edit: I think you should use spoiler code to hide the identity of this 'guest'.

Hallo R Sould & the rest of you,
I've played your FMs and gave the best note in my review (on the (
http://thief-forum.pl/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5675) polish fan forum. I saw in this FM great textures for the water and the fire in fireplaces. How can I use these textures (which files exaclly) in the orginal game or other FMs?
R Soul on 13/2/2012 at 21:41
Thanks for the review :D
The textures came from many sources. In sagh.zip there's a file called zzCredits.txt. Most sources are listed in there.
This isn't the best place to ask about implementing them, but the question has been aksed many times in The Editors' Guild. For example: (

I finished this campaign, and I have to say, I spent the best time with Thief in a looong time! The first and third missions were so tightly knit, so well designed that they sucked me right in and I had to play both of them in one session.
I have a couple of questions though: I didn't quite catch all the plot for the mission 3. Why were the original guards displaced by bluecoats, and then later by the Hammerites? And how did they know about the Torc, if the letter got destroyed in the first place? Who did all that bashing in there, was it the spirit trying to scare everyone away?
And about the scripted events, I saw the bluecoat's body and then heard the booming. Were those somehow dependent on each other? Then I went upstairs, but came shortly back to explore the rest of the basement. I ran down, just minding my own business, until I started to think: "Hey, wasn't the body supposed to be h... OOOOH, shiT!" Then I heard a door open, and I got so scared, I just couldn't stay there, I had to run right back upstairs :D. Did I miss anything, could I have seen anything if I were at the right place at the right time? What about the bashing, could I have seen thing collapsing and stuff? Anyway, all of that scared the shit out of me!
Who was that psychic guy in Mission 1 warning about the spirit, just some random bloke or..?

Why were the original guards displaced by bluecoats They presumed the guards would be loyal Barnham, and could spirit* the Torc out of there, so they were removed quickly. Barnham's gamble was to cooperate and hope the Torc's hiding place was good enough.Quote:
and then later by the Hammerites? And how did they know about the Torc, if the letter got destroyed in the first place? Who did all that bashing in there, was it the spirit trying to scare everyone away? Yes, it was the spirit. Neither the bluecoats nor the Hammers would actually damage a nobleman's house in case he's innocent. The Hammers were called in because they handle the supernatural stuff (badly, as we see in T1, T3 and many FMs).
They knew about the Torc because Sarringham reported it. The letter was merely evidence. He planned to report it all along, but he gave the jeweller false hope so he could get the gems. By the time the Keeper found you in the prison, the events had already been set in motion. Sarringham had no idea the letter was gone, but its absence would have been trivial if the bluecoats had found the Torc.Quote:

At first the spirit didn't know what to make of you, so he just tried to scare you. A mere opportunist would surely run away. The spirit wasn't actually doing anything, so you didn't miss anything. If you had spoken with Barnham before going down there, the spirit would not have done anything because your intentions would have been clear.Quote:

Where i find murderer in the first mission?
Clue:
If you find his victim, you'll find him in a building that's very close.Answer:
He's in the building across the street from the blue stone building where Sarringham's guard is staying. Look for the sign saying "This way to the dockside factories", and he's in the next building to the north*No pun intended
