Nightwalker,
I also had the same experience with the chest underwater.
As for your question about the first objective, I think it gets cancelled, not checked off, when you read a particular document. Sorry I don't remember where that document is but I don't think it was hidden.
Thanks, NickD. I think I'll just restart this one and play it from the beginning again, when I have time. Maybe something just didn't work right.

I have managed to nail some of these problems, the first was the arrow problem, this happens because a 'DeathStage: 12' property which dromed likes to add got put on the LoadOutCache object, this made it so that buying anything at the start of the mission, including arrows, got this same property inherited somehow, hopefully that will have got it sorted, it would also explain why it happens for some people and not for others, as buying arrows puts those in your inventory first, then the rest gets integrated on top, which also get the same properties as the first.
Another problem was on the ship level, the reason why picking up an outside body (the ones that show breath) makes your inventory go all weird was because, the breath was 'Contained' within the AI itself but just at a different location (just as archers have an arrow in their quiver and guards have stuff on their belt), so having the 'Auto search bodies' enabled in the game options would try and pick up this 'Breath' automatically, and as its not meant to be in the inventory would make it act weird, so I just deleted the 'Breath' objects and all references to it, hopefully this problem is also alleviated.
Other problems were secrets not being activated on certain things, this has also been fixed, aswell as the loot objective, this has also gone as it is not needed.
This post really was just to see if there were any other major show stopping bugs / errors that could be fixed before I send the new fixed files out.
Nightwalker, as NickD said the way you get the first objective ticked off is by reading the scroll on the table in the libary, maybe I should change this, or make it more visible?
And as you have all probably igured out by now all the loot and all the secrets can only be found / got on expert difficulty.
Cheers :thumb:

Updated, new version, whatever you want to call it.
I have fixed a few problems that previous players have encountered such as, inventory errors, objective problems, 'sticky' arrows, secret bugs and some others and I thank them for letting me know about them.
Hopefully all and more of these problems are resolved, as I have spent a lot of time making this FM, I hope people get some enjoyment out of this FM and I dont want the bugs to spoil it for them.

When that is done or doing, you can uninstall the old version with Darkloader and delete the Zip file, as this is not a fix, but a whole new package. I have not checked to see if old saves work with this new version.
If you do want to try then all you have to do is rename this new file to the same as the old one (ShiningStds.zip).
Cheers, and have fun :thumb:

Thanks, Spanker! I'm glad you decided to fix the problems. It's a great FM pack. :)

Ok, I have been playing this mission on Expert, and I have found all the secrets, but I am still short on loot. I have been in every room, I think, but I only have 1897. Are there guards walking around outside that have money on their belts? Or are there a few locations where the loot is hard to find?
I think that this is a great mission so far, even with the arrow bugs. It's interesting that on normal, the water arrows and gas arrows are faulty, but on Hard, the moss arrows and broadheads have issues.
I love the spooky touches in the secret areas, so creepy stuff. ;)

I re-started from an earlier save, went and read the scroll and this time it worked. However, when I took the crate of wine to the back gate, the "go to the back gate" obj. ticked off, but the one to "take the fine wine with you did not". I obviously have some problems, so I think I'll just dump this and download the new version to start from scratch. It's a great mission and well worth the time to go through it again. Thanks, Spanker.

hee hee... I found it... sigh.
It was a great mission. There was a small issue with the second part (the promethus... or however you spell it....) I was down in the crew quarters, and dangling from the ceiling was one of the crew. He was walking about 5 feet above the floor. :) It was pretty funny.
Thanks Spanker!

Nightwalker - I had the same problem with the wine crate in the latest version (v1.1). I found that carrying the crate to the back gate checked off a goal, and then dropping the crate checks off another; thus endeth the mission. On the happy-fun side, I did manage to find all of the loot and the secrets this time around. :)
