Well, I went back and played it on Expert and have now found 12 of the 13 secrets and am a little over 200 short of the total loot. Here are the general locations of the ones I found. There are no details here, just the floor of the mansion.
2 in the basement
4 on the ground floor
4 on the upper floor
1 below the chapel area
1 not in the main mansion
1 NOT YET FOUND
I'm not sure it's OK post the details of these here, but if there's enough requests I'll do so. Or send me a private message.
Also note, as has already been pointed out, that not all the secrets are available on the Easy and Hard difficulty levels. I know that at least 4 of them were not available on Hard.

Yah, I ran into that 'pick the guard up and lose your stuff" thing too. It's weird... if you hit "R" like you would to drop something you picked up (like a body), your stuff comes back. It's like you only sorta picked the guy up. If you try it again after hitting "R" you can pick the guy up like normal and move him around, hide him, etc. Weird bug...:tsktsk:

The moss arrows work fine for me, no problems there. What doesn't work for me is the rope arrows is some spots. Other places they work. Also, when I use water arrows on the torches, I can still pick up the water arrows and re-use them. However, the water arrows won't put out any flames in the fireplaces. They just burst into steam. Also, I don't know if anyone has noticed, but look carefully in the gate control house when you first start the mission. Very carefully. Everywhere.
Has anyone figured out if the discolored floor in the maze on the first floor leads to anything?
I'm about to scour the place again...I'll be sure and check that gate house again.
Kind of odd -- I could recover all of my moss arrows and broadheads, but water and rope arrows all worked fine (as did the gas arrows). I'm also kind of interested in seeing what the side effects of using that
unholy sword are...
And I've run into the pick-up-body-lose-everything-including-my-mind bug before; it was in the Oblivion FM...but I had never run into it in Thief 2. So I just left the bodies where they fell. I had enough flashbombs and other equipment to deal with suspicious AI, so that was no problem. Also, the objectives are a little wonky and I got stuck in a wall at some point (not to mention the fact that I only got one secret out of four), but I still liked it. Good-looking ship.
And no, I haven't yet figured out what the deal is with the discolored floor in the flare maze. ;)

Arrow problems: For me it varied from one run to another. The first time played, I was able to recover all my water arrows and broadheads. Then the last time I played, I couldn't recover my water arrows but could still get the broadheads.
I only used the rope arrow once or twice and didn't have a problem. I didn't try the other arrows.

I took time out from the betatesting to take a look at this mission, because it sounded interesting and, so far it is. It's annoying that a lot of my arrows don't work though. I've run into a problem with a secret (playing on Expert). Can anyone help?
I've gotten the key from the master bedroom and gone back down to the locked room on the main floor. Inside, there is an obvious secret door and I thought it might be triggered by lighting the torch, but it won't light. How do you open that door??

I think that's the room where you need to turn the torch, not light it.
Thanks, NickD! I had tried that, but I guess I wasn't close enough to get it to highlight and I though it didn't turn. This time I walked up close and it worked. Sometimes, I'm such a dope!! :)

I hope you enjoy this FM as much as the rest of us Nightwalker!!
The first part is excellent in every way (maybe an 8.5 in my book) because it has every thing I personally like in an FM, which is;-
loads of secrets
the ability to ghost it, well try and ghost it anyway (which I have yet to try)
beautiful architecture, inside and out
and it's just an enjoyable FM!!
The second in this series looked absolutely gorgeous at the start, and I mean beautiful!! But unfortunately it (in my humble opinion) did not have the 'edge' that the first part did. It was still a good FM in it's own right but it was a little short for me, but the beauty of it made up for everything.
Spanker, you've done two very good missions but the first mission is soooo good it puts the next one in the dark. I can't wait to see your next mission if you decide to make one; and I very much hope you do!!
BTW a secret list would be very much apprieciated!! ;)
