My opinion? For a first mission, it's a good one. It has rough edges (and horrible spelling, I'm big on spelling) but I enjoyed playing it. There was a big "WTF?" moment at the beginning where I was trying to figure out how the ship ended up where it was. No way in, no way out, not enough water for the ship to get there.
Heh, same here :) But then I decided to not bother about it - mainly because I recently replayed Maelstrom, too, and thought "if not tides, a magical storm would do" :)
As for spelling... Nothing beats having "find" (I presume - from context) misspelled as some gibberish ("vcei") in "Mixed Messages" - in *coded* part - so far :) Good thing it was in latter part of the text, or I would have had a few WTF? moments decoding it :) It wasn't coded over twice, just some gibberish.

I need some help please ^^;
I can't find a key for the prison or for the garden's gate.
I still must complete the first two objectives. Outside the caves, every other passage was locked or a dead end :confused:.

If by "garden gate" you mean the exit from the mines, you need to find a nearby pit with a ladder leading down to it. Down there is a dead body that has the gate key on him.

Don't worry - I missed it, too. ;)

Ok, finished the mission (thanks to CheeseshireCat for sending me a save game :thumb: ). I must say that for a first mission, this was pretty darn amazing. Every time you think you're approaching the end, a new, large area opens up. There were many different elements, but I thought they were mixed quite well - first-time FM makers sometimes have a tendency to try to cram everything and the kitchen sink into the same FM, resulting in fragmented missions with inconsistent gameplay and feel - but here, none of the different parts felt tacked on. The only complaint I can think of - as has been already mentioned by some others - is that the mission really could have used a proofreader, but that's hardly a game-breaker.
Overall, if this was the author's first mission, I can't wait to see what future ones are going to be like. Great job! :thumb:

I finally got to playing this mission and thought it was excellent. Sometimes confusing, but overall fun. I'm only 217 loot short with finding both secrets. I do wish there was a rope arrow since I love climbing into the rafters and such. I can't imagine what I missed. Everything the author mentioned as to the harder loot to find I found and then some. Looking forward to part 2.

I don't know if anyone will remember as this is an old game but I'm in search of a key
I need the key to two doors in the first part of the tunnel with the burricks before you get the water to the prison. I'm short of loot so I'm sure there is something there.

suewan - I replayed this fairly recently, but I really can't figure out where you mean. Are you talking about the early part?

I think Southquarter is down again, all I get is an "internal error" when trying to download this FM :(
