workin on the 4 keys now!
thank god that gamma radiated tree Hulks are just as dumb as the original human one! :laff:
this mish has honed my DBS skillz to a monofiliment edge!
(DBS = Dash,Bash, & Stash) :sly::cool:
((but i had better not put BJ expert on my resume, might get WRONG type of response entirely! hee hee!)) :O
what i love to do the most (stealth commando/ninja style), is just like from the movies, let two or three who are patrolling in a row/line go past me, slip up and nail the last one, temp stash him FAST, then move up to do next, then the last one, it's SO fun and funny to be watching 3 then two then just one continue on, never realizing they were having a man power shortage that was gettin worse!!! haha

i'm such a sucker for a love story!
i ko-ed
Lucrethia, and she fell face down, i ko-ed
Lt. Wilson and he fell face up.
so just what do you think i did then?
why, i lugged the big lug up to her room of course, lay him down near the fire (not too close tho!), picked her up and lay her on top of him!
her wish is granted!
and is he gonna be pleasantly surprised too!
jus call me da  a luv!
Have you tried laying them both together on the bed? You may be pleasantly surprised. :thumb:

Tree beasts? Psh. Wait until you get to Lady Rowena's little pocket of hell on earth. :ebil:
I envy that you are playing this FM for the first time. It's an absolute masterpiece, and a great experience exploring it fresh, not knowing what to expect.
And definitely do try what Lady Taffer suggested. :)

aha! i see! that Lady Rowena (the FM's creator, not the the other one), sure has a sharp mind! thinks of pretty much everything a player might do!
(sharp, but TwIsTeD!!!!)
thanx for telling me!!!! :)
those "demons" were new devil heads on the old beast men bodies from T1 were'nt they?
they were COOL! Lady R is SOOO damn talented, and so creative too! using any resources she can lay her pretty lil hands on!!!

7 hrs,18 mins,20 secs!
Lady R - you are WICKED! I would hate to be trapped in one of your nightmares!!

How can I get into Rowena's room?
Lady Rowena on 7/7/2010 at 19:40
This is the classical question with no answer possible, unless you want a complete walkthrough, since you will enter that room very later in the mission.
If you want rational answer, please tell me what have you done until now, where have you gone, how many keys you have.....etc, etc, etc.....

I think I had missed the turning in those caves... I found it later on. Anyway.
However, I still cannot find anything in the library. No well key either.
Also, there is a really strange bug: Garrett is occasionally seized by fits of shaking or shivering? or something like that.
EDIT: Never you mind, I have it. The shivering persists, though.
Lady Rowena on 8/7/2010 at 15:14
Too much time spent in the damp caves.....maybe Garrett caught a cold and has the fever?
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Unfortunately I don't have an explanation or a solution for the shivering, I don't think it's happened to anyone before, sorry. :(

So, here's my (a little late) review of a 7-years-old FM:
I believe this definitely is among the greatest of FMs. Excellent layout, a great storyline well told, good side-quest(s), and realistic characters. Ample resources, realistic architecture (I especially liked how the mansion is honeycombed with secret passages).
On the negative side however, I have to mention the abundance of marble floors - no country resort should ever have quite this amount of those; the fact that gaslamps have "electronic" switches; the sometimes totally obscure and ridiculously small switches. Also, a number of side passages can be quite easily missed in a too uniform texture. Furthermore, some loot is quite illogically placed: the coins behind the tapestry in the dungeon - what's a tapestry doing in a dungeon anyway? and the ring in the storeroom, for instance, but there are several others.
I loved Hell, however, it's a pity it doesn't have nine circles though :D
There's more, but I'm tired.

Thanks for playing. :) Also thanks for the critique, even the negative one.
As an excuse I can say that it was my first mission and I had only played FPS before. (actually I still only play FPS) Maybe making thing logical wasn't my priority at those times. :)
On one thing you are wrong: the ring has a reason to be there. The cook lost it while preparing the bed for the female guard. It is mentioned in her diary. :)
