Oh, I don't know... Seventh Crystal could give Rowena's Curse a run for it's money on the best first release from an author. But it certainly is spectacular, and quite a bit of bang for your byte. :) The difficulty level is quite high, but it's so logical and well-designed that I don't even mind, in retrospect.
It needs a map, though! Dude, I got lost so many times...
All nitpicking aside, this is a tremendous effort, and I will now dream of collaboration. :thumb:

What a terrible night ... didn't sleep a wink!!!! :thumb:
Managed to finish on expert without consulting the forum for hints ... but just barely made the loot requirement. Hmmm ... looks like someone has already discovered the other 50% of the secrets I didn't find ... :p

Lady Rowena, you've had a lot of compliments on your first FM.
Well, HERE IS ANOTHERONE!!!:thumb:
WOW!!!!! What a mission. It really has all of my favourite storylines and at the end of the game: it really got to me! Those drums in the hell zone reminded me somewhat of the ritual in the movie: Temple of Doom (Indiana Jones). It really gave me the chivers when they got more frequent as I came closer to my destiny.
It was as if I was playing in a movie and hgad a lead role. I always play with headphones on in order not to miss any of the noises.
I've played some great FM's, but THIS ONE I was playing IN myself!
So, the applause is all yours!!!
If I try an effort ot make an FM myself, I really hope that my creativity is enough to match Rowena's Curse.
YOU DID A GREAT JOB!!!:thumb:
Hope to hear from you again .............. and ehhhh................next time...........have some (not too much) consideration for those of us with a weak heart ............ I nearly suffered some heartfailures playing this one:cheeky: :p :ebil:
With lots of respect: Gloria Creep:angel:
BTW: I had a shortage of 46 loot to end this mission(on expert). So I don't know how many secrets I've got. Well, only one way of founding out........play it AGAIN! :erm: :eww: :sly:

Ware is rowennas key and how do I get to the torcher chamber. Also whenever I pick up the barrel in the shed with the fire arrow I cant release it ...is this a bug or what. Please help. I cant seem to get in any of the doors down the ladders in the main (colord rooms)
Nightwalker on 16/6/2003 at 23:48
The torture chamber is
in the basement of the church. You'll need that explosives barrel though, so you have to figure out how to drop it. Have you tried using "R"? I didn't have any problem letting it go myself. You need to take it to the torture chamber and drop it up against the wall in the alcove across from the rack. Blow it up with the fire arrow. You'll need to have the "Well Key" for the next bit, so I hope you've found it. After you get in there, you'll find Rowena's key, which will unlock the doors below the coloured rooms.
Thankyou for your quick response Nightwalker. I totally missed the church basement. Duhhhhh ! I do have the water well key . Thx again.

I have not tried it in Rowena's Curse but:
Flares will cause explosive barrels to blow up also.
I suggest you never leave a room until you have examined every inch. Missing the Chapel basement is a good example of why. :D
Gloria Creep on 17/6/2003 at 00:14
Nightwalker and Blackmann ................. I didn't use a
explosve barrell to let the wall in front of the well room explode. I used a mine which I threw in front of the wall, got back a bit and hit it with a broadhead arrow. The result was......yummie!
:ebil: :p

Sorry , just a little question next..............
Is this forum hosted from out of the UK? There's only one hour of separation (am I saying this right?) between the estimate time the post reply is submitted to the forum and the time I send it to the forum.
I always thought this was an "american"hosted forum.
Just wondering .........:weird:
