So, I finally found the time to play this little mission after being pre-occupied with other video games recently and of course Xmas for the past few days. And I have to say that this was well worth the download, with a fun little side story to uncover between all the good ol' thieving:D
Also, Yandros. While I found your voice to be a bit deep for Basso IMO(which is simply just a little nitpick when comparing to the original Thief 2 voiceovers), I still found your interpretation of Basso's character to be good, as it fitted the type of situation that he had been involved with in-game prior to being rescued by Garrett. So, don't worry about it. Trust me, you have a very good voice:thumb:

My objectives are all messed up, like they come from a different FM or something - it talks about stealing the Eye and some other stuff, then going upward to the kingdom of Kyrete? Then the last two objectives are blank! What's up with that!?
Also, seems like if I pickpocket a person while they are falling from my BlackJack blow, one of the objectives fails.

Did you install "Mc Leod's Revenge" recently?
Either you are using 2 different mission loaders in parallel, or something did not get cleaned up when uninstalling that mission.
There should be some cleanup procedure documented somewhere in these forums. Look it up !
(Basily uninstall the latest FM and delete any books/strings/obj/intrface/mesh/snd folders that were left behind in the root directory of you T2 installation.
Checking the DATES of these folders should give you a clue which these are.)
In case you have additional questions on that topic, please post them in one of the general troubleshooting forums, because this issue is totally unrelated to this mission.

That info is available in the (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48202) Thief Fan Mission FAQ. I don't know if that will solve the problem but it might. Here's the info:
Clean up of filesOccasionally you will find that you'll start a new mission and run into problems. For instance, you might load one mission and when you start to play you'll see something that indicates you're going to be playing a mission other than the one you selected or you might experience crashes.
Sometimes DarkLoader or GarrettLoader fails to clean up the Thief folder while uninstalling an FM, so you might have to do it manually:
Install the original game missions and delete any remains of the following folders in your main Thief folder:
Pal
Bitmap
Books
Fam
Intrface
Obj
Mesh
Strings
Motions
but don't delete the movies, crfs or the res folder!
Next, reinstall the mission you want to play and it should load properly.

Thanks, Gnartsch and Tannar - worked easily!

Completely missed this mission until I came across it now. Great design, it made me think a bit of Dishonored in some way. I had those same vibes while playing Breaking the Stone. I got 3 out of 4 secrets and I feel confident enough that I'll find the last one on a replay, loot and secrets weren't too hidden away.

I just finished this awesome mission. I really love the design, really great! :) actually it´s already the 3. mission from HipBreaker that I absolutely loved:cheeky:
The only thing I did not understand was the vault code, I had to look it up: The text says "sixty one-ten". That would be 60 1 10. But the code is 6110. How are we supposed to know that?

>>sixty one-ten
>6110. How are we supposed to know that?
Americans (not sure about other English-speaking communities) don't bother to pronounce long numerals with all those thousands and such. They divide big numerals to smaller ones. For example, the year of 1941 would be nineteen forty-one. So 6110 is literally pronounced by Americans as sixty-one ten. As far as I know, that is not a strict rule or something but still a very widespread behavior.

Even Germans pronounce long numerals like that sometimes, maybe a bit less often than Americans. However, "sixty one-ten" would indeed be a it misleading, since AFAIK, it should be "sixty-one ten".
This could explain why many of all the Lords in "Thief" write down their codes directly ("6110") instead of thinking about hiding or "clouding" the real meaning - if they would do the latter, they could not open their own safes anymore.:joke:

all the Lords
Yeah, it is a hard job to be a lord in the City: you must care about all traditions and nuances in many languages when writing private notes. Who knows what nationality would be the next taffer lurking in your working room?
