Subtle hint: Think about who might have arrived at the castle and what they may have brought with them.

Direct hint: Check near the main entrance to the castle.

Good news people.

After some time experimenting, I may have found a solution for all the players having issue with doors not opening. Here is my solution step by step.

1. Unistall Thief 2

2. Delete all remaining files and folders (you may want to make exception for folder named "SAVES" if you want to keep you keyboard binds) manually.

3. Reinstall Thief 2.

3. Download T2Fix 1.28 with mods from this thread: (https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=149669)

4. Apply T2Fix 1.28. Make sure that you check all boxes except multiplayer when installing T2Fix 1.28

5. Run the mission with Angel Loader or FMSel.

6. Don't use any previously saved games but start the mission completley anew.

I think what the issue was, at least on my machine, was the missing sound of door opening. I may be mistaken, but I'm almost 100% certain that the missing sound, caused them to remain shut.

Glad you got it sorted, but the door sound being missing should not in any way affect whether or not it opens, which is most likely a script issue caused by an incomplete installation of 1.28.

I think I am missing a key that may be found in a fireplace? I have been everywhere but have not seen him yet please help with a hint thank you kindly ( east wing door, attic door and cell door) - If anyone can help thank you in advance

Awesome, a new skacky mission. :)

I just took a quick look at the start of the mission. I wonder why the framerate is taking a hit in some places (sometimes I only get 50 to 55 FPS). Neither the GPU nor the CPU seem to be overly busy. About 30 to 40% GPU utilization, and 10 to 20% CPU. Weird.
