Excellent FM, it certainly has me captivated!

(
http://www.bogadocious.com/thief.html) Ricebug's Walkthrough (2016) for "Morbid curiosity" says:
Return to where you first started the mission, jump into the canal, go north, and enter a previously secret room underwater. (Swim north and you’ll swim right into the room.)So I have reached Station North
after clearing out most if not all buildings and emerging through the pool accessed through the sarcophagus, but cannot proceed any further. All the doors are locked and neither keys or lockpicking has any affect.
I regret tackling this map in normal mode because I don't have the 'find all the keys' objective. Has anyone else had this problem and will accessing the
previously secret room underwater resolve it? Unfortunately, doing so would mean reverting back to a much earlier save point.

I just played this mission within the past week. Are you saying you can't get into the main part of the Gallery? On Expert, there is a key on the Curator's desk that will open the main Gallery entrance via the ticket office, not sure if it's the same on Normal though. It's hard to tell exactly where you are from your description above.

I won't believe it if I missed this. Deeply regret not playing on expert as I'd planned to 'case the joint' before playing it thoroughly. Two hours later...

So, I went back and checked the table for a key. It wasn't there and I could've collected it during an earlier visit. Meanwhile, the museum door is not functional on normal difficulty. It appears to be a static part of the scenery that I presumed would be opened by a secret lever elsewhere in the level.
I also checked back at the start for a 'hidden door' that opens. Nothing there either.
Off to try expert difficulty next time.

Wow!
I'm relatively new to exploring the Thier FMs and kicking myself for not starting years ago. This mission is superb! I'm really impressed with the atmosphere and level of detail, I had to keep notes for all the side quests as the some clues were very subtle.
I was waiting to see what happened to Dewdrop after the curse on the rattle was lifted, assuming she was exorcised only to find her waiting for me at the end of the mission. Bravo.I did get an hour into the mission and just after encountering the fortune teller, I was shooting skulls and swords from the bow and had random crashes. I found a few references to the TFix version 1.27c causing issues with some FMs. I was running 1.27b, upgrading to 1.27d and restarting the mission fixed this for me.

I don't have this happen with any other FM but after getting to a certain point in the game, the crashes became more and more frequent and now i'm at a loss for finding a save file that will load. :(

Just finished this, after an initial struggle with the Tfix crashing issue, and...WOW. Love love love everything about this mission. Incredible both as a standalone debut, and as a sort of "preview" for the author's opus The Scarlet Cascabel. The same marvelous atmosphere, attention to detail, sharp humor, and clever rewards for curiosity. Everything I love about Thief.
Speaking of...does anyone know what Pukey Brunster is up to these days? She seems to have vanished from the forums mid-2021. I hope she's okay. She's responsible for some of my favorite Thief experiences to date, would hate to learn she's no longer active in the community.

This is my first playthrough of this mission. I actually started it 3 times already, but gave up before getting very far.
I'm not keen on missions that start out with "find all your equipment" as I feel a Thief wouldn't leave home without it.
Finally, I did persevere and I'm so glad I did. What starts out as an exceptionally good looking mission turns into something
very, very special. The Gallery was a real surprise and an absolute delight to play. I'm stunned this was the authors 1st
mission. Wow. :thumb:
My only gripe, and it's not limited to this FM, is excluding the normal player of extra puzzles. I only like to play puzzle rich
FM's and always choose Normal difficulty as I find extra guards to avoid just tedious, only to find I can't play some puzzles
because they're expert only.

Wow, that is one impressive mission! The art design was outstanding, the gallery with the exhibitions was very cool, I absolutely love those kinds of things. Took me well over 4 hours and I used a walkthrough towards the end.
I got lost pretty often, good thing that you can open all gates, that helped tremendously. Would've been too hard for me without a walkthrough sometimes but still definitely worth playing!
