Pukey Brunster
I cannot find any Notepad file, either in the FM files or in the actual game now that it's in the middle of play.
I can see what looks like three gas arrows in the maw area; but I cannot get to them! I've tried jumping, climbing, and rope arrows, but nothing frobs, clicks, climbs, or sticks.
I have crawled through every inch, from the red "transporter" that divides the pagan area from the maw area, all the way to the "transporter" that leads to the exit of the tour. I cannot obtain any gas arrow.
I remember having a gas arrow earlier, but it seems to have disappeared (I did not shoot it, I'm playing on ghost, as much as can be). There seems to be nothing else I can do. Unless someone is kind enough to give me exact directions where -- and how to get! -- a gas arrow somewhere between the pagans and the maw, I cannot continue.
I really don't want to exit the tour, go outside the Gallery again, wander around until I find yet another gas arrow, then go back inside, and go through the entire tour again.
I'm completely mystified.

Sounds like you are playing on an earlier version (the file is in 1.2 version, as stated above ;) ).
But in all fairness.. and to help, you can find one of the gas arrows
in the Lost City exhibit, in the air elemental area. Or, go to the bridge in the Maw area. Simply jump and click beneath one of the SFX gas emissions, and you can get another one there.
And..

Hm. I was finally able to get the gas arrow; thanks! I fired each arrow into the appropriate plants, and the obelisk in the pool turned blue. I thought that would make the rattle appear, but I don't see anything. Is the rattle somewhere else in the Gallery? Do I have to go through the whole tour again to find it? I didn't see it in the "non-tour" parts of the gallery.

The rattle is
an adorned hammer, being on display in the Hammerite area of the tour. It should be extremely well visible, and some readable might also tell you that this is what you're looking for. And it's already there
before you do anything with
the pool. The pool is
used to remove the curse from the rattle (an optional objective), not to obtain the rattle. If you have the rattle, you can
use it with the obelisk turned blue in order to remove the curse. That's what the stuff with the elemental arrows is for.
At least that's how things were in v1.0; I have not yet completed v1.2 of the mission. But I don't think anything relevant has changed concerning this.

Baeuchlein - you are exactly right :thumb: :)
One edit: The removal of the curse is optional on Normal/Hard and required on Expert

pukey brunster, I loved your FM! A lot of places to explore, a good story with additionals goals, an architecture so well designed. I'm waiting for the french version for to replay it in expert mode. For a first fm you are a master :thumb:
Thank you for giving me hours of fun :)

Sigh. I think I've prematurely come to the end. I went through the tour again, this time collecting the rattle and varnishing it with carnauba wax, or whatever is in that pool.
I'd previously noted that I had gotten a gas arrow, but it disappeared. That wasn't the last mysterious disappearance: When I exited from the tour the second time, I discovered my North key and my West key, both of which I had after exiting the tour the first time, were no longer among my items.
(I checked my oldest save, which was still inside that second tour, but they were missing back then, too. I just hadn't noticed it yet.)
Now I clearly remember getting the West key from the clocktower after giving the flower to the girl. And as far as I recall, I can't even get into the gallery in the first place without the North key. How could they just vanish?
Trying to retrieve the West key, I roped up into the clocktower a second time, found the red key there again, and once again used it to get the West key. But as soon as I looked down towards the table right under the trap door, the mission crashed.
I tried several more times, but now, even just looking at that table from any angle would crash the game. The last time, I backed into the Sky Pavilion; even so, as soon as I saw that confounded table, it crashed again. (I even tried rebooting the computer, but it didn't help.)
Well, I guess I'm stuck. I have no idea why three different objects disappeared from my inventory or why seeing any part of that table crashes the game.

Hello Dafydd, and sorry you have had technical troubles with the game, but thanks for your determination to finish it ;) If I can ever figure out why certain players are having trouble on their game systems, promise I will let you know.

Well, hello gaetane!
Thank you so much! Of course, like many others here, I am a big fan of your missions. I think I sampled some songs from Black Frog for my town of drunks from your town of drunks ;) :cheeky:
Hope to see some new stuff from you, and again big thank you for playing my mission and taking the time to post this here!
