I finally managed to finish (with a little help from Fen). I loved the city part and was blown away by the atmosphere. As has been mentioned, there were technical glitches, minor details like floating objects, and I got horribly stuck in the crossed beams near the Maiden of the North. I almost had to reload but 5 minutes of wriggling got me out. But those things were so unimportant in the general scheme of how much fun I was having.
I didn't enjoy the gallery as much. As one or two others experienced, I also had quite long load times (must get my pc fixed) and because I died a lot, I was taking a long time to not get anywhere which I found a bit frustrating which is where Fen was helpful. I'm not a great fighter and prefer to sneak around most undead. Except haunts, I love killing haunts. For me I think that the gameplay in the gallery was a little uncomfortable but the imagination in that whole section was superb and I was completely engrossed in the story. So I was determined to finish it. And I will definitely be putting this on my replay list.
Very well done indeed, pukey - a smash hit.

I found the Gallery entertaining once I found the hiding spot next to the skeleton pounding the haunt The first time through the giant axe wielding guy chased me to my hiding spot and ended up getting killed by the skeleton in the room to my left. I snuck by him as he went back to hitting the dead guy he was obsessed with. I went through a few more times with different results each time. One time the Giant Axe guy made it all the way into the Keepers area. He was dead and I don't know what killed him.
What I liked most about the mission was the city part. Looking for ways to get to an area logically being able to find your way. The gas arrow up on the chimney stack was a challenge

Impressive mission, one of the best that I've played.
I finished the mission. The only thing I noticed, is that even winning the six statuettes and got the grimaldi card price, the optional mission didn't ticked out.

The first time through
the giant axe wielding guy chased me to my hiding spot and ended up getting killed by the skeleton in the room to my left. I saw that in Fen's video.
I started off
by trying some fire arrows and he came towards me where I was hiding in that little room but couldn't seem to get in there to hit me so I finished him off with a couple of sword swipes. I thought maybe I'd wasted some ammunition so reloaded and hit him a few times with broadheads. He started coming towards where I was hiding in the room but as soon as he got close to the entrance, he kind of squeaked and ran off. I heard him coming back but every time he got close, he squeaked and ran off again. :DBut now I know where everything is, I want to go back and see what I've missed - apart from a load of loot!

I am really confused.
I'm playing on expert; I killed the (very faint) Haunt in the water area and got the South key, if "key" is the word I mean. But I have no idea where the other three are, nor what I must do to get them. Is there a readable about this?
If not, please help!

Hi there!
Check out post #233 which should help point you in a good direction for the compass keys.

Sorry if this has been answered already. I killed the "bug ghost" and it said I have earned my sword, but there is no sword in my inventory. The first time I played,it was there in mid air but not this time.

The mission makes a bit of an 'assumption' that the player has obtained a sword prior to
killing the bug ghost, so that comment is slightly out of order.. whoopsies ;) But a sword appeared in mid air before? That is odd.. or maybe I am misunderstanding what you meant. The sword can be found
in the captain's office of the guardhouse, near where the mission began. Hope that helps :)

I can't find the pottery store, the last of the parcels I'm supposed to deliver for the pawnbroker.

You've probably found it now but the
Pottery is next to the Maiden of the North fountain, just east of the Hammerite Abbey.
