schma - You're definitely missing something. Have you climbed one of the ladders and gone through the grate into the Chapel, with a key on a pedestal. You need the key to get through the doors from the Chapel, each of which will take you someplace important. To get the key, you need a certain object, though. Read the clue by the key, if you haven't found the item yet and you'll know what you're searching for. There are plenty of clues scattered through the mission, but you need to read carefully to put them all together.

Thanks, Nightwalker. Seems like I visited his bedroom a little early ;)
I've been to the chapel, but I have nothing to help me grab the key, and the clue does not ring any bells. I'll head through the sewers and explore more of the castle before I visit the bedroom again.
Great visuals . These new missions are so well done I'm in no hurry at all to finish , it's nice just to wander around and see what one can uncover .

I've gotten so far without help...but I'm finally stuck. Would someone tell me what to make of the shot in the dark.
I figure this is the one pane of glass smithpd broke that he mentioned above...but I've broken every one in every conceivable order in synch with every shadow I could think of and still no dice.
smithpd on 5/4/2003 at 08:29
When you extinguish the fire (so you are in the dark), you will see one pane that is a different shade of gray. Break that one and jump into the opening. It is not necessary to extinguish the fire. Trial and error should work also. The key is to jump into them. Only one will be successful.
schma: what you need is in one of the basement levels. [gradual extra spoilers]
In the lower basement.

In a cell with a man in purple

In a chest on the floor.
Ok, I'm much further ahead in this mission now, and I just have to pause for a while, catch my breath and say one thing:
UTTERLY FANTASTIC!!
The scope, the attention to detail, the architecture, the technical effects, the variety, the playability, the sound design -- everything -- so brilliant that I'm just in awe of the skills presented in the design of this mission!
This is a stunning, tour-de-force show of talent! Congratulations, Lord Alan, you've made a classic! :thumb: :thumb:

Thanks smithpd! I tried that but didn't know what to look for...I don't know why I didn't see it. I kept returning myself to the beginning. Anyway, I'm through now. I'm so close to finishing...i've got all the objectives but one, but now I'm stuck at the
stone face with the frobbable eyes. The instructions are just useless enough that they have me hopping like a frog all over the place while carrying Lord Alan. Could you imagine how stupid that would look--Garrett jumping in circles with a noble hung over his shoulder!! :laff: What to do!??
And in case this hasn't been said enough...this is a fabulous FM. :thumb: It's totally destined to join the pantheon of best FMs ever. What is it with this last week and amazing FMs?
Nightwalker on 5/4/2003 at 18:47
LOL, demagogue. You need to
drop Lord Alan and go look for two rubies, the same as in the OM mission that had the face. Put one in each eye socket and a teleport field appears in the mouth. Grab Lord Alan and jump in. The plaque on the face is only there if you need to come back to this area and go through the teleport field again. For some reason, it won't work when you first step on it after the first time, but activates if you give a little jump.
WOW - I've been playing this for 12 realtime-hours now and
I can hardly believe, how great it is (and looks and sounds) !
I guess, I've seen all Fanmade-missions ...
(how many are there btw? - must be more than 180)
... and this one surely is one of the best - oh yes.
So, please, Lord Alan, say that you'll continue making FMs, will you ?
-------------------
But I'm seriously stuck:
I had the truth (and delivered it),
but I didn't find (or overlooked) Lord Alan.
so, my questions are :
1. Where is Lord Alan ?
2. Should I use the mask somewhere, before delivering it ?
3. Whats that talk about a stoneface - how can I get there ?
