You are playing A Short Night's Work! Are you using Darkloader?

Thank you so much, Yandros and collaborators for making this Lady Rowena's gem available to the community. Her talent still shines brighter then ever.

Is there anything weird in the bank ?
Well besides me :cheeky:
I've opened & cleaned out the vault & all the lockboxes
I keep hearing a hissing noise like there's a spider somewhere, seems louder on the upper floor but I can't find anything
Probably just my ears or a sound added to raise tension

Reloaded my latest save. I hear only the
ambient sounds and the ticking of the grandfather clock up there. But spider sounds can travel quite far. Maybe I've killed one (and you haven't) in a place nearby? I looked around a bit but couldn't think of a place where there was a spider.

Must be my ears then, thanks for checking

Just finished this with only around 3/4 of all loot and secrets... WOW! Now, I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to FMs (only got into it a few months ago) but have generally been going after the more highly praised ones (from what I could gather in forum posts, ratings etc.). Home Sweet Home EASILY ranks among the top missions I've played... Environment is nice and very atmospheric (love all the Venice style canals and houses).
Obviously, being a newbie to FMs and this forum, I never knew Lady Rowena, but man... You can easily tell from this mission that she was very talented in all aspects of fan mission creation, from level design to writing... everything just flows and is a pleasure to draw in.
The very first FM I ever played was actually The Tower, also by Lady R, and I remember thinking "Wow!, so this is what fan missions are all about - amazing"... I am sad the world will never see another fan mission from her, but ever grateful for the ones she did create while still here, and occasionally stumbling across a forum post from her, clearly reflecting a passion and curiosity for creating great mission content, it fills me with warmth and joy.
I will go on to play Rowenas Curse and The Seven Sisters.
Thank you, and rest in piece Lady R.

The city is a labyrinth, and you don't even get a compass? I endured maybe 5 min

What are you talking about? You have a compass (at least I did), and while I agree the city has lots of little streets, nooks and crannies... Its what makes it great, believable and atmospheric.. Its all centered around a nice market in the middle which is fairly easy to always find your way back to... I would give it another shot :)
For a compass:
Just remember to dress up properly before leaving your apartment and going out... There is a walk-in closet with some (loose) coat hooks.

Where can I find key to the deposit safe 3? According to the note from the bank this key is on 1 Winding Road. But I've seached everywhere and I can't find the entrance.
