After playing this mission over the weekend, I just wanted to add another "thumbs up" to the pile. It's a delightfully dense knot of architecture, and easily gets a spot on my "must play" list. Tons of rewarding exploration to be found, here--excellent work.

that's why i said this to Melan in a PM:
thank god my country (USA) was'nt hidden by you, Columbus woulda done just given up, so woulda Lief Erickson before him!!!!!
(by "hidden" i really mean more like "placed")

QUESTIONS:
okay, where's this
"shop near the gallows" the note you get at Tannor's statue mentioned?
(all i see is a tavern, an unaccessable one)
the top floor of the TWO floor elevator - is there a key for the gate?
how do i get into the "condemed" building?
exactly where the heck is the RCG?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
well, i ko-ed the b****! (and thru her out the window for a nice little xtra bit of PAIN!) then i hauled her arse down to the gallows and dumped her on it! she should get THAT message!!!!! :ebil:
~if she does'nt, she can just go and have a little look see IN THE SANITARIUM at a certain sister of a thief named L'Arsene to see what COULD have been done to her! ~
(after all, think of just where her escape elevator goes and where a certain PRIOR resident of those same gallows now lays! a most fitting turn around within allowed perameters if i do say so meself!!!) :p ;)

Turn south from the gallows and all will be revealed.Quote:

I am not sure which elevator you are referring to - if you mean the one in the sewers,
you have to pick the lock for that gate.Quote:

Hint:
from the abandoned warehouses, but the most obvious way in does not work.Only read this if you want a direct spoiler:
there is a room with an inactive furnace and a door with a broken lever. You can climb up into the rafters (or approach it from Tennor's plaza, which takes you there directly); there, one of the copper grates is frobbable. Bring two crates.Quote:

Probably the Roof Climber's Guild? That's not in the mission, though.

Creative, although vicious!

aha - ok - then i been in the condemed place already! :o
there's an elevator w a spider - NOT that one, and not the escape one either - that leaves just the one with the sorta eerie muzak in bottom floor.
also, it is only one with locked gate at the top!
unpickable but frobable, so........
ty for the "creative" comment - but not as vicious as locking L'Arsene's sis in with RATS!!!!!!!! ;) :ebil: :laff:
anyways - these peeps just gotta learn - you mess with Garrett, you mess with YOU!
(i tend to put my own lion/tiger (Aug 5th/1962) personality into Garret when i play him, so MY Garrett is the best friend you could ever have and the absolute worst enemy too!)
((LOVE the "help Basso" mishes!!!))

I think you're talking about the elevator with 4 buttons... some of them not functional... if so...
Take the elevator to the top (where the gate is locked) At the top the botton to the lowest level is functional. The key to the locked gate is on the lowest level.

Great mission! Finally finished and that stupid puzzle had me going for a while. I also really liked the water ride. I had to jump in the water several times from the beginning just for fun.

For some reason I hadn't got to this FM yet, and then finally played it over this past weekend. Wow! Melan, you are the master. I'm not sure I've ever played an FM that was just more pure exploring and thieving fun than this one. Awesome job, I'm just amazed by the whole layout and design of the level, I couldn't produce something like this in a million years. Great job, can't wait for the followup.
And yeah, that water ride had me audibly going "Wooooaaaaah!" at my desk. Too funny. Interesting, I really expected to see something like that for the water contest a few years ago, but nothing quite measured up.
