OK, so what other hidden areas do I need to find? I have 3190 loot and figure there are a number of places I need to check out. Here's where I've been:
[spoiler]
* the rooftop drinking society
* Mr. Crate and the pretty window
* the condemned building, but apparently you can't get to the 2nd floor with the zombie
* the Keeper areas, including the special exit... though I made sure to exit the hard way
Any other hidden areas or secret switches? I have a feeling there's some stuff near the Brosius estate and maybe off Ore Street.

Some things you might have missed:
Two coinstacks on a windowsill not far from the front entrance to the Hammerite monastery.Three coins on a windowsill high up, overlooking a narrow canal section.A thief's hideout in an attic with a readable scroll. Two secret rooms in Lady Azamlarg's castle, one of which has loot.

God's way of telling you to get a proper computer, mate :P Frankly it's testament to Thief's age you can even get it running on there. It's like installing Thief II on a toaster.
hello. I do have proper machine, but have bought eee pc recently and I love the way it is =) I can play every T1 fm and original T2 withouth problems, but new missions for T2 are mostly too complex (high res., custom effects and overall), so my i945 flavoured darling chokes. shame.
then again, if a fm is not filled with animations (huge or multiple fires, waters, snow) too much, even with high resolution textures they still work ok.
what is interesting, T3 Deadly Shadows on lowest detail level and 640x480 resolution goes quite well, I say, even better (lags "smother"), than most of the best T2 fms (like ANIR for example).
still, Disorientation looks very well. I like it and I enjoy playing it a lot.
quite challenging too.
congrats.

If T2 missions are killing your system I dunno if "proper machine" is the right term to use :laff:
;)

I have found that it is especially long sight lines and not necessarily screen complexity that produce a bit of chop, and I am running Thief on a fairly good PC.

you misunderstood. I meant I got another desktop pc (with much better graphic adapter) which is more than enough for every Thief fm there is. "choking" applies only to my EeePC. Intel GMA945
is pretty sh*tty, I know that, but still some T2 fms work very well and other, like Disorientation, behave just sadly. so I play such missions using my desktop pc not Eee.
cheers

I.. well.. Alright?
If you have a system with a much better "graphics adapter" (Video card?) why not.. well.. use that one instead of an old beater machine that cant handle thief 2?
Whatever the case it apparently works for you so I'm not going to try to understand any further, its hurting my brain :laff:

Well, if anything, I wouldn't mind playing Thief on a CRT screen for a change. Or at least an LCD that doesn't reduce it to almost impenetrable darkness.

Why does this FM always screw up my key bindings? And how come? I've never met anything like this before.
All of a sudden, when from the menu I go back to the game, the bindings don't work anymore, and when I try to change them back, it doesn't allow me.
