Wow, was a lot of rooftop climbing. Pretty awesome. Got 2890 loot with 3 hours gametime. I came across a
"patio" with loot and a wine stained letter but there didn't seem anything else there. It's location is by the suicide woman, up on the wooden ledge to the left then mantle up on the wall. Did anyone else find more up there?
Isn't that the
rooftop climbing guild? Also stack some crates on the table and climb up.

Excellent mission. I wish thief 4 bring the same feeling when play it.

I wouldn't go that far, but it's certainly up there with the most enjoyable.
My datum point is Calendra's Legacy Part 3, Murder At Murkbell. I measure everything against that mission.
High praise indeed. Coincidentally, I measure everything against
Calendra's Cistern, although I have a very high opinion on Murkbell too. CC has the precise sort of architecture/ambience I am looking for, although it also has a lot of technical things I will never be able to do, so better focus on what I can.

either I am blind or just not seeing it. a hint please. silver door in market area.
Okay.
Go to the north until you cross the stream via the small footbridge. To your left, you will find a window way up, which you can climb up to. The secret door to the building is in the attic. Final hint:
look for a switch next to the wooden cupboard.Quote Posted by uncadonego
Great job. Hey Melan, I noticed your tavern and my tavern have the same music! I thought that was cool! :sly:
I got the music from Polygon's
Sinful Opportunities; he might have got it from you. I tried to contact him, but he has been inactive for a long while and didn't respond, so I used the music in good faith, with an acknowledgement.
uncadonego on 15/6/2009 at 07:51
Oh I didn't realize he used it too. That was released a year and a half after Mixed Messages. It's the exact loop, so he must have gleaned it from the Mixed Messages folder. It's a clip of "Traditional Jig" performed by Ashley MacIsaac, a Canadian fiddler. No worries, it wasn't about acknowledgement, I just thought it was cool that someone else thought it was good tavern music beside me.

So, just how would you get the crates up there? It's like 100ft. up and a bitch to get up there??? I didn't try to throw them up there, doesn't seem possible.

You can climb ropes and mantle on walls while carrying a crate, so if you can get up there at all, you can do the exact same thing while carrying one.

Is it possible to get in the area at the beginning behind the gate at cragscleft st.?
I got to the area mentioned in previous post with the crates....you can walk on the rooftops for a bit, but nothing else up there.
Acolyte6 on 19/6/2009 at 03:05
How do I get into her house? I found the "service" door which I can't pick.
I found the rooftop guild area, I actually thought I was getting in through the window with the flickering light, but no such luck. That window is solid...
As for the tarnished key, where do I use that?
Acolyte6 on 19/6/2009 at 04:42
My customized controls for T2 decided to switch to some other thing, I'm guessing T1 since I don't have quick save or quick load anymore
If I open another T2 FM and put it back will it keep it that way for Disorientation again too? This happened after entering the lower section of Bafford's house

Let me know when there's a walk-thru for this mission. It's a cool mission, but very frustrating to the "impatient at heart" & running around in circles for hours is not very fun. I thought I had gotten pretty far, but realised that was a big NO when I saw the pictures at the image-bucket site. I don't even know where half of those pictures were taken.
What happened to right-out spoilers? All the hints are driving me Crazy
