Sorry, I should have actually answered your question.
There's nothing in that room besides what you found. It's meant to throw off anybody who makes it into the Keeper area, to make them think it's abandoned.

Thank you dedaki! If there is one thing I can certainly say about this FM, it has high replay value. If I remember correctly, most of my beta-testers found entirely new areas on subsequent play-throughs.

What's with the cannibal lady? She's the one with a loot dagger, and femur and rib cage on her dinner plates. Is she eating the orphans?
This mission is awesome. Can I enter City Hall through the vault or blocked latrine? I looked everywhere for a switch in the gambling den, but I can't find one. Its a one-way, isn't it?

The lady isn't meant to be a cannibal! ;) maybe they are animal bones. Those items on the table are supposed to replicate the low-res painting above it.Regarding the City Hall entrance,
it is one way. The player can access the first gambling den area from the very start, but they can't get past the dark blue/purple door. Otherwise, they would discover the whole end of the FM first, including the empty Vault!

This was a great mission, outstanding for being a first FM, there are some very inventive mapping tricks.
But I didn't quite understand the plot of the whole thing, anyone who could explain it to me? what caused the egress? and what was that plot all about?

Thanks for you comments Tank_Abbott!
Regarding the plot, don't worry -- I intended the story to err on the side of implicit and unspoken, rather than spelling everything out in long readables. There are also many details I never fully decided on, to leave more for the player to interpret on their own.
The basic gist is: City Hall was relocated to Navenvolk, at the expense of the whole local treasury. As a result, the town started becoming gentrified. Over the next few months, the local council of Navenvolk stirred up a panic about some unspecific incoming threat, and organised a forced evacuation of the upper classes (the 'compulsory egress' of the title). This was actually just a front for a mercenary group led by Captain Ricardo to come in and pillage the town with the council's consent. He was meant to funnel most of the nobles' valuables into the Treasury, and after making the town look like a siege had happened but been fought off, send word that it was safe for the evacuated nobles to return. He would be a decorated hero in return. The game takes place on day two of this charade, and the plan has already started falling apart.
The details of this can mainly be found in Ricardo's Journal and the High Reeve's Letter.
Regardless, I'm glad you enjoying playing, and thanks for your kind words!
