Hmmm... let's talk about Miranda's keys a bit.;)
There are three keys which are relevant in and around Miranda's place. The first of these keys is the one for the front door. You can find it on Letchies dead body, and I guess you already found and used this key.
The second key you need at Miranda's place is one used somewhere near the stairs inside. I don't exactly know how this key is named, but I noted that it should be found in the house, preferrably after knocking out the two guards in there. With the help of this key and a bit of lockpicking, you should gain access to a pump station. There should be a switch or lever there which opens a grate in the sewers that blocked the way into the adjacent city sector. This should be the sector in which you find Gastrule's home as well as an inn, "The Stag". My notes don't contain any information about whether there is a bridge in the sewers leading to this sector, and my memory doesn't yield anything about this subject either.
The third key is the one to Miranda's apartment. The apartment is located somewhere at the top of the building. The key can be made if you have the wax imprint. By now I assume that this is not the key you need right now, but that you were instead looking for the second key so far. If my assumption is wrong, please ask again, and I might spit out some details about that third key as well.:)

Thats the wax mold you need. Info on it is in thelawyors office along with a key to the courthouse. You need to climb the drainpipe in the same area as the llawyors to get to a balcony. Make your way through there and you will eventually come up at the top of the building right close by. Then you can climb on the sign to get to the roof and jump to the bank. Go right to get to the courthouse area and the mold. Left leads to other areas and the bank. Hope this makes sense and helps. Once you explore that area you will find your way out and more quests. Hint always watch for drainpipes..lol And good luck finding where you use the wax mold...just have fun and explore.
Edit: The bridge key in the sewers will be found much later and you will get a hint on it as well.

@nicked thanks for this marvelous mission. Great sleepy atmosphere and very nice choice for music. I loved Miranda's love affair and her addiction to illegal substances. I took me ages to find missing valve for sewer bridge, but loved the idea how wizard's experiments story arc joins the stealing of urn.
By the way there may be something wrong with iron mask key and cotton. Instead of using the iron mask I used the cotton on the crypt skull.

Yeah they have the same key ID. It's a bug, I never got round to fixing it I'm afraid as I got quite burned out after this mission.

I wonder if anybody else has this problem. The odometer doesn't seem to be working - so it doesn't matter which bells I ring (with or without cotton wool) nothing happens to the odometer. Can anybody help? Thanks in advance

Make sure you have the latest scripts is the first thing to check.

What is the motTnhScript.osm file? Is that needed for this mission to work properly? Can I delete it?
It looks like motTnhScript is an older release of tnhScript 2.1 from 2009-03-04 whereas tnhScript 2.1-final is from 2009-04-10. I can't find any older downloadable copies of tnhScript to verify this.
The tnhScript.osm (2.1 final) file is also included, so why would motTnhScript.osm be needed?

The
miss17.mis file in the FM archive contains the ASCII text "motTnhScript". Most likely, this means that the game will be looking for that file while loading the mission. So unless you have a very, very good reason to delete it, I would keep my fingers off it if I were you.

I have some older v1.x releases of these scripts, but these are far older than motTnhScript. However, both
motTnhScript.osm and the corresponding fle of the v2.1 release contain the text "TnhScript" in what appears to be Unicode. I would guess that
motTnhScript.osm might be the v2.0 release, but can't verify it either.

Maybe there's some functionality of motTnhScript that changed in the next TnhScript release, and the author of "Behind Closed Doors" needed the former behaviour, and therefore kept both versions in the mission. Of course, the older release would have to be renamed in order to peacefully coexist with the newer one in the mission.
