T2 FM: "Acquiring New Ventures" - 15 August 2025 -- *UPDATED TO v1.2* - by Kubrick

Thank you, ultravioletu. I did not design the FM with ghosters in mind other than at least having ONE possible route. But not the AI placement themselves, since I've read supreme ghosters say they enjoy a FM more when it wasn't designed with them in mind.
But I wonder, what do you mean with the "adjusted mantling sound"?
ultravioletu on 12/9/2025 at 15:51
It seemed to me that the sound made while mantling is not the original Garrett sound. Was I deluded? :)
PS: no problem, there is absolutely no expectation that authors design the missions for ghost. We have fun playing them anyway, if there are good!
Kubrick on 12/9/2025 at 15:55
Oh, no, all the player sounds related to mantling, damage, etc. have been changed since it's not Garrett, but that's only an aesthethic change.

Played through again using v1.2.
I do think it's an excellent mission.
I finished 1400 short on loot - I got all the secrets but I don't know where they were as I received no audible or visual confirmations of the finds.
A tunnel in the sewers seems to have been blocked - unless I missed something. The one near to the museum entrance. There's now a grid across the entrance.
Also, I notice the area in the South East of the starting part of town is now reasonably easy to access - or maybe it was on V1.0 but I missed it. The place in the picture below. All I found was a lever that didn't seem to operate anything.
All that said, I do really like it.
Below is the area in the SE.

A brilliant FM Kubrick. I absolutely loved it, it got better and better as it went on. Perfect :)

The guy who is trying to repair the broken jenerator at the outside of the mechanist (I think) building at the beginning of the mission always dies. Is he supposed to die like that?

Nope. To test, see if there's a dead servant in the upper office of the warehouse. He should be sitting down, writing on the book in front of him. But if he's dead in the chair, it's a bug.
Specifically, you're having some sort of trouble with your squirrel scripts. I packed it on the FM tho. I don't know how to help beyond that.

I didn't meant about the sitting guy inside the warehouse. The guy who i saw dead after some time was the one standing at the outside and repairing some machine. The very beginning place where you can find a golden mechanist symbol loot nearby him.

I understood. And to test if it's squirrel specifically, go check the guy I described, in the warehouse. If he's okay, then it's not squirrel and it's some other weird one-off thing. But at least it isn't a comprehensive issue with squirrel scripts.
