You gotta climb to the top, the chains work as ropes do. Then the passageway is the one that has the railing about to fall off..
Well, I managed to climb up.
I followed the corridor and entered a room with wine.
In this room, there's a wooden floor that collapses. If I continue walking, I reach a canal, from which I reach the room where the person is in the water, upside down.
Did I take a wrong turn?

The place has two entrances, you just looped arround. Explore that place then continue on.

Kubrick, thanks for this mission, I'm only on the early stages but it looks great.
As it seems you're working on 1.1 I thought you'd like to be made aware of a glitch (at least I think it's a glitch)
When I got to the back of the room with the Lady of the Woods, Lowell says "Uh, thanks" and then repeats this every few seconds or so. It was driving me nuts, so I went to an earlier save. He stopped repeating himself but then the Lady of the Woods kept repeating her opening speech. It stopped when I got through the vent.

I was just coming here to post the same thing as Plumph about the repeating "Uh, Thanks" sound bite. It seems to repeat no matter where you are in that general area, but then stops when you go thru the door that requires the 4 switches.

Yes, it's a known issue that seems way more common for people than it seemed when testing. Conversations are famously easy to break on the engine and it seems like it's happening here. Haven't dwelved into that again yet, but will try to fix it for the next version.

This initial offering is incredible. The motions and environmental changes feel like a new game and it ran so smooth on my old system.
Maybe I was too distracted by the above mentioned, but, narrative was the only thing lacking; I mean, who was the mage in the basement? What happened to/was the shipment, what was the incognito Lady's part in all this and does any of this tie-in with the zombie plague and decadent partying?
Keep going and stay focused - my sentiment was that this is the first notable in a new Gen on Dark Engine projects that will eventually be unrecognizable to us old farts.

The story starts in-media-res and the future of the campaign, at least regarding a part of the City's development, is hinted at in readables. We'll eventually be back, but hopefuly it'll be recognizable for everyone  :cheeky: Glad it worked alright on your end, I have an old machine as well so I was the first tester on that regard.

I'm running Win10 and my Bios is dated 2011 (if Speccy is to be believed). That's getting on a bit.

Fantastic mission. Can't imagine how much hair you pulled out of your head getting it all in order. The amount of trigger work, custom animations and general strangeness was really impressive.
Finished with about 630 loot missing, found 1 secret. I also had the repeating audio bug, but that was fixed by progressing a bit and then quicksave/loading. Out of curiosity, I also tried taking a swing at the lady of the woods with a sword. Did not expect that to happen!
My only real issue was that there were several locked doors I couldn't pick, and couldn't seem to find a key to. So I just bashed them open, which worked fine, but often times I'd find the key inside the room. Was there some method I was missing? The sergeant's key comes to mind.
