what i did to drop hammer during camvader as you fly throgh the air frob the ring above the hammer it will drop in place,not really sure why it was added since it really dont do anything but make you wonder if its going to fall and kill people below
mystery key goes when you get the key leave and go left look left for the first door under stairs
laser puzzle i think it can be finished after the camvader scene,at least that is how it worked for me

Pretty sure I'm close enough, and I tried it with the generator off. Does it involve the
lights on the stand nearby w/red button? Earlier it turned on before I had the
gear but now it doesn't.

I am sorry, but I don't know what the problem is. My procedure has been:
1. Flip the lever that turns off the generator. Lights should go out.
2. Open the brown door that covers the gears.
3. Highlight the existing gear that is inside the brown door by crouching close enough to it.
4. Use the new gear on the highlighted gear. The new gear should pop in place next to the original one.

I was able to tick off the optional tasks so I wondered. I found myself climbing, swimming and shooting trying to figure out that area.
Too elaborate to be nothing. That should have been a puzzle. :)

I kind of agree. I went through the same motions. However, there are plenty of other puzzles.:)

5. Turn the generator back on.Thanks for going through it and I did all that but nothing highlights and I'm crouched right down there next to them, so something may have broken or perhaps it's a script issue, although I'm running the latest Tafferpatched install with no probs in other FMs.
Do I need it fixed to
exit at the end since original way in is blocked?
