I have been playing around with the new version for a few days now. If I'm right, the German and French translations fully work only if Darkloader is used to play, while squares appear in the texts (instead of German "umlauts" or French accented characters) if FM-Selector is used.
Can anyone confirm that? Or is it just something with my computers?

I do wonder if that means that I won't be able to play the 3rd mission successfully, due to items I might lack from not having properly completed chapter 2? Maybe the items required from chapters 1 & 2 will be automatically included in the next chapter? I did find a lot of both chapters enjoyable, for the most part.
I will make two versions of chapter 3: campaign and standalone (with basic/required set of equipment at the start).

I could've done without
the zombies, but I've always had a mental block about those nasty critters of the Thief world; surprising, actually, since I've played games like 'Dying Light' without even flinching. Go figure. ;)

The dagger I gave to Flik was the one I found in
Penny's Pub. So it looks like I missed a lot of mission 2, unfortunately. I actually had to download the combination of both missions from one of the sites provided in this thread, since the first download of the combined missions I got from Taffers Paradise was obviously buggy right from the start; as soon as I tried to start the first chapter, the game started with the original first mission from TMA (Running Interference). At this point though I really don't feel like uninstalling and trying to install a download from a different site and then going back and replaying.
Try to use the save in a folder !Save (versions 1.5 and 1.6). You start the game near Flik after putting him Penny's dagger.

I don't get why the author removes the teleport point from the game so that you can only get to the library from the streets once, that is just poor design in my opinion.
I did not remove this teleport point. You can walk into the library back and forth unlimited times.
I suspect that this is due to the fact that you have not activated one of the scripts in the library (invisible barrier in front of the stairs). Unfortunately it is difficult to take into account all possible cases. :erg:

Were there beta testers for part 1 and 2? I really don't see how so many bugs got through if there were. I just got through experiencing a game ending bug in part one where I happened to read Thereon's notes a second time AFTER Jonas died and that made the mission unable to end. Now in part two, after I roped up and entered the house and then frobbed the bars of a narrow window, I tried to go back through the window shutters to the stack of crates to get back down and I am completely stuck in that opening. The only way to get out is to face those two guards below. Is this intentional? I also got the bug that lots of people here have experienced in Raven's Nest where I didn't frob Flik enough times before he got back behind the counter so I was unable to complete Raven's Nest too. Such a shame that these missions were designed this way. They could have been some of the best Thief 2 missions ever if they had not been so complicated.

I had that happen too where you either get stuck in that entire half-attic area or the entry window at Han's place, but to be fair it happens sometimes in other FMs as well which may relate to the new mantle feature. When it does I just quit & restart the game and usually find that tendency to get stuck goes away for a while, and you should then be able to go out the window down to the crates.

Of the 12 beta testers only 20% actually worked. Besides, I did not try to do a better mission. All the same, the work was a success. I am satisfied.

20% of 12 testers? That makes 2.4 beta testers.

Maybe one of them had extra limbs?
