I had the same problem with Flik and Penny's dagger in v1.4 yesterday, but then I discovered that I was using older versions of the standard scripts (tnhscript, NVScript, and so on). When I installed newer versions and replayed the second mission, this problem did not occur. I was able to complete the mission.

However, there were several other strange things.

When Flik took me down to Manu in order to give me access to the weapons shop, I right-clicked Flik while the weapons display went up. Suddenly, Flik spoke one of Manu's lines (about the spider acid).

The guard before the pawnshop never stopped babbling about the bag the City watch confiscated from him. In former versions of the mission, once he had his beloved bag back, he began talking about that neither weapons nor stealing are allowed in the shop. This time, he didn't. Everytime I cycled through his lines, the knocked-out Lt. Ashley was teleported into the "Stumbled Traveler" again, hovering unconscious in mid-air. This even happened when I was carrying her.

When I was down in the sewers, and the big monster from the Maw was killed ("Flayer" achievement), it was lying near the place where another of his buddies had been melted into a steaming pile. If I fell down into the deep hole in the sewer channel near Jonas' hideout, the dead "Flayer" monster was teleported nearby.

The keys for Garrett's room at the inn and for the house with the stool inside are one and the same. Picking up both gives you a stack of two identical keys.

The key for Lady Adalines box and the keyring for the glass dome above the Rocksbourg book are one and the same. This can have irritating results. For example, I fetched the keyring for the dome yesterday, then went to Lady Adaline and took her key. This key apparently vanished; closer inspection of my inventory showed that Lady Adalines key had turned into a secondary keyring.

None of this did break the mission, however.

Vera, all necessary scripts are included in the FM. Do you play in v1.4?
Try to talk with Flik when he in the basement, after he opens the showcase and before he go back behind the counter.
