The
pick-axe appears as a weapon, not in your inventory. There is no designated key for this one, though, so you have to use the "weapons cycle key" to find and ready it. Then you can use it like any other weapon that can be wielded.
No fricking wonder...... items that are only used once in the game are normally are under items. I think this is the only fan mission I have played that treats it as a weapon. Thanks. I love the immersion first person perspective of thief, but I often wish for a simple even if crude inventory system with mouse.

There are a few missions which do similar things, often with items that one would use as an utility, but which could also be used as a weapon. The pick-axe is rather used onto the rocks like the sword is used on a door or crate in order to break the latter. Furthermore, there are several missions which give the player a new weapon that is not bound to any key. Special arrows ("Ice arrow", etc) often fall into this category. But yes, such things can be confusing.

Is there a loot list anywhere for this mission? I did not find one online or in the FM archive. I think I got all the silver nuggets in the underground area near the police station. 10 nuggets sound right? the 10 nuggets do not add up to the 1,000 loot count, but I cannot find anymore. The 10 I have add up to 850 gold.

Also, in this new version 1.7, the objective about not touching the mages or their guards is maybe broken? I can blackjack the mage in the underground area to get the staff. But watching a YouTube run of the first combined version of the campaign, blackjacking that mage down there failed the mission. I think in version 1.5/1.6 this was the case also.

(
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dO6ge5IvbXjD0WJcH_yO7AY2rfn_JFUb/view?usp=sharing) Walkthrough contains lootlists for both v_1.6 + v_1.7
There are
12 silver nuggets available in total.

IIRC I've always been able to KO that Mage, maybe ST overlooked that mage when he set up that objective in later versions, so not really a broken goal more of an oversight?

As far as I know, the player does not have to trigger the "Don't touch the Mages" goal (by reading the book in the police station) in v1.7, so the goal is pointless in that version anyway. Former versions, however, sometimes made it necessary to get the key on the police station desk, and therefore made it necessary to read the book (to make the key frobbable) and thus triggering the objective. There are more "don't touch" or "don't kill" objectives in both KoI missions which do not seem to be enforced strictly. The guard with the helmet in the wine cellar, for example, may be killed by letting the camera/turrett mechanism fire on Garrett and ensuring that the guard runs into the line of fire. Any goal to not kill someone apparently did not take this into account... and since this "wine cellar show", as I call it, is difficult enough, I was not very keen to fix this.
So far, I had mainly concentrated on fixing things that could break the missions anyway, and did not bother with goals that were partially broken but didn't get the player into trouble.

In mission 2 the Hall of Achievement reward 'Fearless Fighter' also appears to be broken.
According to Ricebug's walk and what I could establish via Dromed you get this award by killing a haunt, but nope that didn't work for me.

Thanks! I totally forgot about those 2 cleverly placed nuggets from the last time I tried to play.
Is there any other reward for
uncursing the cursed thief in the river tunnel at the entrance besides simplying turning him human again? As far as i can see nothing was given to me

The thief should have given you something, either money or one of these "special purses". Or both. He does take his time for that, though. It can be half a minute until he stops looking around like a fool and then at you, and finally makes a gesture as if he was giving something to you. I think a loot sound should also play.
