...and I would recommend loading an earlier save or starting over in that case, because the side quests are about 70% of the content in this mission.

Once you've freed Grimroot, you have to meet him outside the entrance to Glimmer Grove. Once there, he'll tell you to wait and he'll go talk to the guard. Once Glimmer Grove is safe, he'll turn and yell for you that it's safe. From this point on, none of Glimmer Grove's inhabitants will attack you.
If you've KO'd them all, then unfortunately there's no way to get the sidequests they offer- which the explosive device you mention is part of.
I'm so lucky I found a great hardsave and managed to get to the village again. For the first time, I literally did not see Grimroot because of the fog (and because a tried to avoid making noise in the water near the entrance of the village).
Interesting - I killed all craymen and fire elementals in the temple before getting the side quest. Apparitions and other creatures are also dead. Also crashed all the "eggs". But the "get rid of all the enemies" objective regarding the temple does not tick.

One more thing. Since I'm a bad guy and was quite lost in the cave system, I looked the mission up in DromEd. I realized that there is a section which is set like it's in "space", with some stones that the player can jump on and some city buildings in space. Good for me, I did not try it in game mode.
Can you give me any hints on how to get there?

Yes, you gotta use the empty jar!
Use it to catch the bugs!
Then..bring the bugs to the stump
:)

You mean the
little butterflies and single bugs here and there, or a
bug cloud (that bites)?

There's a list of the bugs you need found in game. They cannot hurt you, so they're not part of a bug cloud.

Amazing! I got 4, but I need 5.
I've found bugs in:
- Near thieves hut (a very fast dragonfly I suppose)
- Next do dead hammer priest near the Moth place
- Near the gate of Glimmer Grove
- In Glimmer Grove itself, but ran out of ideas where else they could be. I also learned that really small bugs around lamps are not to catch, more for decoration.
Any suggestions?

Thank you all! It was fun, and one of the most difficult fm levels of all time (at least until a certain point in game). Also, I think this area with its ambient can get the best out of EAX and high quality audio. Very well done!

Playing this one again and I've encountered the same bug as others...
All objectives complete, and I've arrived back at the tomb, The 4 knights have appeared, but nothing else happens and I can't take the sword!
did anyone find a solution to this?
