NDL (New Dark Loader) I think would be your best alternative.

I dimly remember having read that a path that is too long can confuse Thief 2, possibly including NewDark and FMSel as well. The path to the FMs which Dia mentioned seems to be rather long. I usually install Thief and its missions in folders directly below the root folder, such as d:\t2_newdark or e:\t2_newdark_levels (for missions). It could be worth a try to move the FMs sub-folder into a similar location.
Another possibility would be that Windows somehow treats c:\User and/or its sub-folders specially (like it does with C:\Program Files and some other folders), somehow, although I don't think so. Moving the folder with the FMs inside to another place should help too, then.

Had the same problem. Hit the 'Refresh' button and it will all be clear.

Replaying this, and it's just as awesome as the first time. This is easily in my top ten favourites of all the missions.
However, I can't seem to complete the main objective. I have freed the restless spirits of Eldin's four fellow soldiers, and I'm now in the tomb building along with their ghosts. Shouldn't Eldin appear now and power up Godbreaker? (I can't frob it, btw)
Bug, or am I missing something obvious that I figured out on my first playthrough?
Another (minor) thing. I'm trying to get all the loot, with the help of Ricebug's lootlist. There is a gold nugget in the crayman prison cell in the central building in Nilbog. According to the lootlist, this nugget is worth 100 gold. I kept a running total and tried to be thorough. This nugget was only worth 65 gold when I picked it up. I have every piece on the lootlist now, and incidently, I am exactly 35 loot from the listed max on the stats (if I do Ctrl/Alt/Shift/End). Any idea?

Did you get and fulfil
(according to the objectives screen) the objective to break the curse
of Sir Eldrin?Did you get the objective to uncurse
Sir Eldrin's knights, and is this objective
fulfilled according to the mission objectives screen?

Yes, and yes.
Both objectives appeared when they should, and got checked when they should.

That really looks like a bug. I have no idea what to do now, except for trying to pick up an earlier savegame and doing all this again.

I loaded an earlier save where I hadn't been in the building after the 4 souls' release. When I entered, the four ghosts materialized, but nothing more happened.
Oh well, I'll just consider the mission completed then. Better luck next time.
(still weird about that gold nugget's value as well)

I'm playing on expert. Two things I don't understand. I made the pagan free in the beginning, but later on, the inhabitants of Glimmer Grove are hostile to me - how to make them friendly? Also, I think I miss some side quests, since I KO'd these guys.
The other thing I don't get, is how to make the explosive device frobabble, on a cart next to a dead hammer.

Once you've freed Grimroot, you have to meet him outside the entrance to Glimmer Grove. Once there, he'll tell you to wait and he'll go talk to the guard. Once Glimmer Grove is safe, he'll turn and yell for you that it's safe. From this point on, none of Glimmer Grove's inhabitants will attack you.
If you've KO'd them all, then unfortunately there's no way to get the sidequests they offer- which the explosive device you mention is part of.
