Yes, same one.
Have you spoken with Embry and received the holy water? Have you been inside Eldin's tomb yet?I'm a bit confused. Embry is the Hammerite living in the church above the Pagan village, right? When I entered, he spotted me and started casting a spell, so I reloaded the game and knocked him out. Did I screw something up? Is he supposed to be friendly?
Or am I supposed to sneak past him,
read his book about the hive quest, do that, and THEN he becomes friendly? Because that seems like a pretty obscure and counterintuitive solution.

He'll only be friendly if you released the prisoner from his cell in Nilbog then met up with him outside the village. After that, you're a friend of the village and get extra quests, etc. You don't have to do that so, no, you haven't messed anything up. You'll just miss out on a bunch of side quests.

Well, restarting the level, here I come. I found a cell key on a ratman in Nilbog, but never found a cell with a prisoner.

Look for two ape beasts facing each other over an open well. The entry to the jail is a couple of steps from there.

Yeah, I've actually been to theat building, only couldn't see the stairs leading down. Lots of grey surfaces in darkness in this mission.

Use your lantern, bro!

Also, I think I've found a bug - and in a hilariously appropriate context. In Nilbog, I'm trying to catch a butterfly just north of the wooden log that serves as a natural bridge between two spots of high ground (really close to some ruins and a poisonous plant). The formerly empty jar already contains a dragonfly from the log cabin area. When I click on the butterfly with the jar, the game crashes to desktop. On my second attempt, the crash was accompanied by the message "R6025 - pure virtual function call".

Marbleman saw that during testing but we never figured out why or how to fix it. He managed to figure out through trial and error that it seemed to crash when there was a conversation going on, so if that applies in this case, wait for it to end before trying to catch the bug.

I don't think there are any conversations happening, I've knocked out all ratmen in Nilbog. Freed the guy from his cell and haven't met up with him at the Pagan village yet, so maybe his presence is doing something... I'll try to experiment with this later.
