No luck.
Got the "your video hardware is not supported or no supported mode was found" again.
Also, I don't know if this got anything to do with it, but my Thief folder is 'Resd Only' and I can't change it (every time I do, and check it I see 'Read Only' again).
Any Ideas for what should I do?

The 'Read Only' check box for the folder is filled with a square and not with a checkmark, right ?
That's normal.
But you could bring it up and entirely clear it and push the OK button.
(Don't get confused if you check afterwards and it still looks the same, because Win7 will always claims folders being sort of protected)
The Video Hardware thing is a different issue, I guess.
Hmm.... don't know...
What graphics card to you have ?
Brand and model ? Is it a build-in graphics-card ?
Anyway, you might want to download the latest drivers for it from the vendors website.
But I am rather guessing here...
Did the game run before using TafferPatcher ?

WooHoo! Oh Yeah! I'm so happy and excited right now! :D
Saw gnartsch post, right before I went to bed last night.
Came back from work, intending to do look for the drivers, like she suggested, but before I had a chance I got a message that I have new updates available. Took a look, and what do you know - graphic card driver update was one of them.
So I updated, and I rebooted and I clicked the beloved Thief icon, and (holding my breath) I've waited... will a error message pop again?? and then I've heard that noise - the CD was been read... my hopes gone high up, then the screen went black, only to light up again with the sight I've missed so much - Thied menu screen!
I squealed happily and held my self right back, as it could still crash once I'll try to load and play.
So I clicked for a new game, chose my favorite expert level.. what a lovely sight, what a lovely sound, to hear Garrett sarcastic voice again, telling me about Basso and his Jenivere.
As the movie ended and Basso handed me the Bird Call, nothing could hold me from pumping my fist in the air, calling: "Yes! I'm back in the game!".
And all of this wouldn't have happened without your help, gnartsch and ffox. So thank you very, very, very, very much!

Now I need to decide - replaying OMs or finding what awesomeness I've been missing in the FM field?
I only wish it was the weekend. :p
