Nice small mission this is :). Finished on Hard difficulty in just over 40 minutes with all loot found. A traditional mansion break in that turns into a dramatic story about the curse of an evil artifact. I do wonder how Garrett came into the posession of the letter though.
It includes some nice ideas for such an old FM; I liked all the custom made voice samples for Lord Edmund, for example. Pretty much ghostable this is too, expert for the end when one inevitably has to deal with Edmund.
Lets see how this story progresses in the sequel.

Banshee was one of the early pioneers of FM design. He left us with a few gems that hold up to this day.
I envy thee who are just experiencing these for the first time.

Better late than never ;) Until recently I merely played T2 FMs and I'm glad to have decided to give it a go. I understand it must've been pretty impressive on release.

I think I took at least half an hour more than necessary to find the remaining loot (the cup in the pub) I needed in hard, finally got the mission cleared with exactly 1900 loot in my pockets- I may be a master thief that went through an awful lot of shit to get where he is, but I'm sure as hell not going to steal a little orphan girl her only 8 pennies and her's mother's ring to later spend it on one or two water arrows, god bless you Lisa.

I've just come upon this FM and wanted to give it a try. It seems broken with new dark. There are no foot sounds and while doors highlight, they cannot be picked. It's been highly rated and I hope someone can give it the little tweak it needs to play correctly with new dark. Thanks in advance to anyone that can supply a patch, or alternatively... tell me it works for them as-is. I'm fine with a new install if necessary.

Sounds like convict.osm for T1 is missing. This a T1/TG mission, btw.

Sorry Unna and everyone else. My mistake. I'm trying to play it with T2. I searched for it and just assumed it was T2. I've got a TG installation and will play it there instead. Funny how it sort of worked in a patched T2. Usually, they just don't run at all for me. Humble thanks to you Unna for the heads up. ;)
I should have realized things were not right when the game started and I was immediately splashed with a water arrow. I turned around and there were seemingly unlimited amounts of various arrows to be collected behind the starting gate. I just thought it was some glitch...
I just started it up in TG and it seems OK. Thanks again. And I do feel extra silly, since the title of this thread starts with T1 Mission... I am not normally this dense and unobservant. It must be the effects of the cocktails last night...
