You don't have to follow the rhyme to get past the traps in the basement. If you do it right you can even walk straight on all the time and avoid being hit anyway.

Maybe I am missing something. The basement is the location under the chapel where the vault is???
Or is it somewhere else?
Maybe there is another area I didn't venture into. I only collected 1500 or so of loot.

There's a statue at the far end of the chapel. If you pull the correct lever up behind the pulpit, the statue moves and you can go down into a hidden vault. That's where you use the rhyme that you found. :)

Thanks. That makes more sense. I will have to go down there the next chance I get.

Take the key you found to the Market place and it will unlock the shop with the metal door. The key your missing should be in there (On Expert, anyway.)

I've done it at last but thanx. I had forgotten about the locked door

It's seemed like a good mission, up until this point anyways... Problem being, that this has been a very _long_ point.
Anyways, it seems like I've explored every room of the mansion excepting the two locked doors off from the chapel, which can't be picked and no key I have will open.
I have the key to the market, Duke what'sis'face's key, and an 'unmarked' orange key. I think the orange key came from the room in the lobby, locked on the front side but there was a passage through the fireplace. The Duke's key came from the market.
Anything I'm missing?...

In the upstairs area, there's a room with a sleeping servant. Go out the window of that room, around the rooftop and into another window. You should be able to get into those rooms from there. :)

In the marketplace, one of the shops is a jewelers. His stall has a metal door. There's a scroll on the market manager's desk about it. The key from the safe doesn't fit. It cannot be picked. Is there a key in the mansion that fits? I haven't gotten very far yet. Thanks.
