Off topic I guess. Thanks to KoMaGs cool T1(G)/T2 FM CD's, I've played CC, and many others and enjoyed the heck out of it. For folks who have a slow connect problem, the CD's the way to go. And they don't just have the FM's, has tons of Util, Patches, Wall paper, sound files, Tutorials. I have a 56k modem and downloaded The 7th Crystal (27ish meg) and that took about 1 hr and 20ish minutes to d/l using download accelerator plus at 'Cheap Thief Mission Downloads". Played an FM during the d/l, so long as I don't loose connect, the large file d/l's aren't all that bad. OH, I am allowed to use DAP on you alls sights aren't I? I hope!? Adios, juvat

Cool you guys!
My favorite style of mission is city, that's why my fav's are
Calendra's Cistern
Events in Highrock
Lorgan's Web
Circle of Strain 3
I'm sure there are some other really cool city missions that I haven't played yet, so I'll have to. And not just any city mission is good - some are boring - but a good city mission is what I like the best. Mansions are okay and all, and crypts and stuff can be good sometimes (Bonehoard is actually my favorite OM, even more than LOTP though that's a close second), but in general, city style is my favorite.

If DAP is the thing that causes folks to make two hundred separate concurrent connexions to my server just to download one file, then, well, do try to make it not do that. (Yes, people actually do this.) I mean, really, what idiot thinks that's going to make things faster? Sure, the server can handle the load since it's 99.8% idle but it just makes me think of people who press the elevator button over and over again thinking that it will somehow make the elevator arrive sooner.

CC was a very good mission, great architecture and a decent story, but I just hated the safe puzzle at the end... I actually gave up and havent returned to the mission. I cant remember if I did it on Hard/Expert difficulty, but it was probably Hard (I quite enjoy sniping guards, especially if its a hard shot, like through some grating). Anyway, does anyone know how I can restore this mission to my last save game - I have played other TG FMs since.
Thanx

Did you delete the mission or is it still in Darkloader? If it's still there, just select Calendra's Cistern, hit play and it will re-install the level, then hit load and select the last save you made. If you deleted the mission, but not the saves, just download the mission again, put it into Darkloader and I think it will still find your saves. If you deleted the saves, you're out of luck. Play it again, anyways! It's a great mission.

Darkloader creates a saves folder for each FM, so if you "install" and play CC again, you should be able to just "load" a save game. However, if you had much trouble with the safe you may have unfortunately encountered "the bug" which ends up making the safe impossibe to open! If you have to start over, I certainly would suggest trying to open the safe nearly first, so that if you encounter the bug you won't have lost much time playing. I can't remember for sure, but it may also be possible to blow open the safe...

I've played CC and it was a well-made and fun mission, although not the most entertaining FM I've played. I liked some of the puzzles and the walking on roofs etc. Some jumping puzzles were frustrating though
I had major trouble sneaking through the party so I had to take out one or two guards from the hole in the ceiling (with broadheads)And uh, I couldn't figure out the puzzle with the safe so I blew it open with two fire arrows I love puzzles that can be solved with intelligence AND brute force, it makes it easier for us boneheads. MORE PUZZLES FOR THE BONEHEADS!

EDIT: *spoiler* and I liked how Garrett got laid in the ending *end of spoiler*

OK, I won't use it. Back to those wonderful 4 hour downloads. It does seem to work, just using IE, takes about 3.5hrs @5.0KB/sec; DAP 1.75hrs/sec for a 30meg file. But I definetly will not use it again. Sorry to have done something wrong like that. But its said ignorance is no excuse, so, I'm busted.

I never said you shouldn't use it; I don't know if it's the software which opens all of the connexions or not. Most users seem to connect about four times, which really is nothing, but every once in a while someone runs something that just goes nuts.
I find it sad that Windows has such a pitiful networking stack that these programs actually help. But if it shaves 50% off of your download times then I guess you don't have much choice.
