Thumper- I downloaded the patched version of CC, since Darkloader ate my saves and I wanted to find the fire & gas arrows I missed. Everything pretty much worked really well. I had one guard get stuck in place in the well area of the party, but the bit with the head and the dried frog worked beautifully! By the way, it's no wonder I never found those arrows before! That was really well hidden. I'd always found the water arrow but never looked farther. I think I found 1 piece of added loot, but I'm missing some. As far as I can tell I came up about 110 gold short of the total. Also don't know what the "added surprise" was. It's a great level...the only fan mission I've played 4 times (and enjoyed every time). Thanks to you and the rest of your team. I hope you'll do more in the future.

Thanks a lot Nightwalker.

http://www.ttlg.com/forums/ubb/smile.gifThe guard is getting stuck on an ai blocker that I put up to prevent them from falling into the well. I guess it's a little too big.
The new loot consists of 3 paintings (converted to loot) and 2 fine wines (both tricky to find).
The surprise is going to be left as a secret although if you really want to know I can mail the location to you.

Yes, please, Thumper. I think 4 times through is enough for now, but I would like to know the secret and where the other bottle of wine is. My e-mail if lindatravis@netscape.net. Thanks very much!

I recently purchased the December 2000 issue of Computer Gaming World and on their demo disc(disc 2) there was a Thief Mission of Calendra's Cistern.
I have played that mission about 4 times and there are a lot of bugs in it. In my opinion I would say that the mission 60% complete. It's a good mission but it still needs a lot of work for example some guards are so tiny like dwarfs and other gurad/s looks like pieces of cheese. Another bugs is when I read a scroll the game exits automatically which then I have to load the editor, then the mission, then play the game. I can't even finish the mission because there are a lot of bugs in it.
Either it's my computer or it's the mission itself. Has anyone had the same problem?? Do I have to portalise it or what??? I've never used the editor before so I don't know what to do. The only time I use the editor is to play Fan missions.
Overall it's a good mission but it would have been better if they were less bugs.

How did you install and run it? It sounds like it either wasn't installed properly or parts of a previous fan mission are still around.

Hmmmm,
We got a strange email about some other wierd activity with our mission. Purah forwarded a message to me a while back that had a player frustrated due to extremely erratic behavior, and he was playing the version that shipped with the mag's CD.
Apparently, our guards were jumping up and down, and some other crazy stuff. Funny that Purah sent it to me as I have never even launched the editor. (Loanstar can not think in a 3d space.)
I remember saying that it sounded like files were missing from the zip. If anyone from tha mag unzipped the mission to view the contents, and then just re-zipped it, that would cause the books and skins to be in the wrong places, but I have no idea what the directory should look like. Maybe one of the editor-savy folk could offer the directory structure, and zipping instructions to make sure the mission is zipped right.
Hmmm. I wish I could offer some advice, but if only your issues were with the audio.

What happened to the Sword?? There is no Sword in that Mission. The good part in that mission is that there is a Market or a Shop if you may so call.
But the disadvantage is that once you have purchased your weapons and tools, you cannot come back for more, even how much gold you have collected.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!

There is a sword that you can find, but not until almost the end of the mission. It's really not necessary to have it at all.
You can go back and buy more supplies from the store, but only based on your gold total, not goods or gems.
